The Most Common Skin Mistakes I See

Everyone always asks why their skin is playing up even though they are doing everything and honestly these three things are the most common mistakes I see every single day in clinic

First no SPF
If you are not wearing SPF daily you are undoing all your hard work with treatments and skincare

Second over exfoliating
More is not better your skin barrier gets exhausted and then your skin starts to react

Third using TikTok skincare that is not suited to your skin
Just because it worked for someone online does not mean it is right for your skin

Your skin does not need trends
It needs consistency
It needs the right routine
And it needs patience

WHY IS MY PIGMENT WORST IN THE SUMMER?

As we get older it’s not just our skin that changes. The deeper layers of the face change too.
Our bone structure can slowly recede which changes the way everything sits.
Fat pads can shift or reduce which can make areas look less full.
Skin can thin out and lose some elasticity so fine lines and folds show more.

On one side here I’ve kept the face as it is now and on the other I’ve added an aged version with the anatomy underneath so you can actually see the layers.

It’s such a good way to understand what’s happening under the surface and why our face can change shape over time.

✨ Let’s Talk: At Home LED Devices – Hype or Helpful? ✨

There’s been a lot of buzz lately about at home LED devices, especially masks promising salon-worthy results from your couch.

To be honest… I’ve always been a little sceptical. At LSB, I’ve never believed in promoting or selling anything I wouldn’t genuinely use myself or stand behind professionally. I’m all about results and integrity.

That said, I’ve recently purchased the TheraFace LED mask — one of the most hyped up home devices on the market — and I’m currently putting it to the test. I’ll be trialling it properly over the coming weeks and sharing my honest thoughts with you.

And can I just say… my kids are terrified of this mask. Every time I put it on, they run in the opposite direction. So if nothing else, it’s been great for a few laughs!

Why am I doing this? Because before I recommend anything, I want to experience it firsthand. No gimmicks. No commissions. Just real results (or not — we’ll see).
