Kadina Christmas Pageant 2025

From Star of Sea and our Lifestyle Team and all our wonderful volunteers and staff members we would like to wish our Residents and families a very merry Christmas and a safe a happy holidays.
Today is our annual Christmas Party and the fun will continue.

We just wanted to say a huge Thankyou 🙌to everyone that came out and supported us for our first year in the pageant. This is the first of many pageants to come! 🎄🌲🎄🎅💜💜💜

Over the last couple of days 10 staff members completed Palliative Care training put on by Kathy from PEPA Education, providing us with the tools and knowledge in Palliative Care techniques and approaches. It’s was an incredibly moving and powerful education session for our staff. Affirming with us what we already do well and what we can do to improve as a team and for our residents!
Of course Taylor - our Registered Nurses team cleaned up and won the final quiz!

Yesterday Star of the Sea took to Port Pirie to put on our annual Pipe Organ & Trumpet Recital to raise valuable funds for the Ray Pope Memorial Palliative Care fund. These funds go towards training our staff in Palliative care. One of our registered nurses Taylor has been awarded our Palliative care scholarship and next month 16 staff members will be attending a 2 day training course in Palliative care needs and care. It was a great honour to host this wonderful event with the support from Professor Greg Crawford and Tim Fahn. We would like to say thank you for there ongoing support and amazing talent. Over $1200 was raised on the day. We are still collecting donations and if you would like to contribute to this fund. Donation envelopes can be found at reception.

Star of the Sea visit the Yorke Peninsula 2025 Field Days in Paskeville. We were given a special pass to drive in up close and personal with the machinery, exhibitions and displays. We met up with our local Trishaw team and were able to met up with residents families.
