🚨 IMPORTANT PET SAFETY ALERT 🚨

Central Coast Council will be conducting a fox baiting program using 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) from 28 September to 28 October 2025 in the following areas:

📍 Matcham / Holgate / Tumbi
📍 Kincumber / Macmasters Beach
⚠️ The bait used is LETHAL to dogs and cats. Even a small amount can be fatal.

Please keep your pets away from the following reserves during this time:
❌ The Ridgeway Reserve
❌ Triple Springs Reserve
❌ Blue Gum Close Reserve
❌ Scenic Road Bushland Reserve

For your pets' safety:
✅ Keep dogs on leads
✅ Avoid off-leash walks in or near these reserves
✅ Ensure cats are kept indoors

If you suspect your pet may have ingested bait, seek veterinary attention IMMEDIATELY.

Meet Reiko Lane, one of our Best for Pet members and now a local hero! 🦸‍♂️

Reiko came in for his procedure last week, but just days earlier he was so brave and protected his owner from a burglar. Thanks to Reiko’s quick actions (and a visit from the police), everyone is safe and sound !!

We’re super proud of this brave boy, a true reminder that our pets are more than companions, they’re our family too 🩵

💁‍♀️ Murphy’s Rocking a New Tail-Do! 🐶

Meet Murphy, our gorgeous Boxer friend who recently strutted into the clinic with a lump on his tail — and left with a bold new look and a clean bill of health in the making.

After his family noticed the lump, they brought him in for a consult. We performed a fine needle aspirate (FNA) and discovered it was a mast cell tumour — a serious type of cancer that needs to be treated promptly.

To give Murphy the best chance at a healthy future, we surgically shortened his tail to remove the tumour with clear margins.

The result? One very brave pup and a seriously stylish new tail! 😎🐾

Murphy’s adjusting beautifully — and yes, he can still wag what he’s got! As his Mumma fabulously put it: “Short dos are now in!”

We’re so proud of Murphy and thankful to his family for acting quickly and trusting us with his care. He’s truly wagging his way to recovery like a champ!

He’s been in three times this year for eating things he definitely shouldn’t… but every time he prances in like he owns the place 😅

We’re starting to think he does it on purpose just to hang out with us and honestly? We’re not mad about it. We love this sweet guy ☁️
