Finally the focus is turning to microplastics in our environment and how they can impact fertility, cardiovascular health as well as many other other areas of our health and wellbeing.

The good news is, a recent trial has found that simply reducing our exposure through some changes to what we use and consume around the home as well as following a low plastic diet could greatly reduce the load of these plastics which can accumulate in almost every part of the body. Even better, just 1 week or reducing exposure seemed to be very effective at reducing the body load. The research covered two major types of plastic chemicals, bisphenols and phthalates.

A great place to start is by filtering your water, using glass or metal bottles and food containers rather than plastic and never heating your food in plastic.
