The Wellness Workshop

The Wellness Workshop Employee wellbeing programs & workshops that foster organisational productivity & performance.

The Wellness Workshop was originally founded as a welcoming space to help sufferers of mental illness and a range of lifestyle issues access support services such as Dietetics & Nutrition, Intuitive Eating, Exercise Physiology, Wellness Coaching and Meditation. Today, we are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Australians through workplace wellbeing programs as well as in-person and v

irtual workshops for a range of organisations including the private and public sector, schools and sporting clubs. We align with the Health At Every Size (HAES) philosophy which focuses on improving overall health behaviours for all individuals regardless of their size or shape. Our programs are designed in line with evidence based approaches by a range of qualified practitioners. We are not social media influencers or sponsored by any affiliate companies meaning you get real, measurable, effective strategies that are tailored to your organisation.

A special mention to Jessie from The Wellness Workshop, who recently delivered a virtual Power of Habits workshop for The Department of Education.
One participant summed it up perfectly:
“Excellent – clear, articulate, and engaging, with a great pace and strong use of examples that encouraged interaction throughout.” Creating engaging and interactive workshops is something we’re truly passionate about at The Wellness Workshop.

The Wellness Workshop’s Tara hosted a calming 1 hour Mindfulness Class for the lovely team at Scope (Aust).
Britt, Senior Support Officer at Scope was especially grateful for our ability to “adapt it to ensure it was accessible and inclusive for all." - a factor we always consider when customising classes for each unique client.
This session helped employees improve focus, support relaxation, and reduce stress. A big thank you to Scope for being so engaged and willing.

Coming up in July: We’re diving into Winter Wellbeing with a focus on managing energy at work.
Cold weather and darker days can impact motivation, concentration and morale — so we’re sharing practical, evidence-based strategies to help your team maintain focus, manage their energy more effectively, and feel more focused throughout the season.

When giving feedback, the words you choose matter. Starting with “I” instead of “You” helps reduce defensiveness and keeps the focus on the behaviour, not the person. Try: “I noticed the report was submitted later than expected” instead of “You were late with the report.” A simple shift that builds trust, not tension.

Did you know that not only do we work with some of Australia's largest government organisations, public companies and well-known brands, we also work with local organisations like the YMCA and Merri-bek City Council?

An outstanding iniative by all involved, our Self-care Seminar presented in collaboration with the Women of Merri-bek program empowers everyday people in the community to take time out for themselves, connect with others in their local area and work on their individual wellbeing.

Only 20% of employees feel their performance review actually motivates them. This tells us two things:

>Reviews are often seen as compliance exercises, not growth opportunities.
>Most workplaces aren’t giving managers the tools or training to do them well.

That’s where we come in. Read this month's blog on preparing, planning and delivering effective performance conversations: https://thewellnessworkshop.com.au/performance-review-structure-feedback-tips/
