What better way to soak up the sunshine, than an excursion to Redhead beach! ☀️🌊

That’s exactly what the New Focus Social Explorers decided to do with support workers Isaac, Nitesh and Michael.

First was a pit stop at Redhead café, where delicious drinks were had before the group continued on enjoying a scenic walk. 😎

Strikes, spares and good times were had by Tom, Kaleb and Ian at a recent excursion to Dullboy's Social Co. 🎳

The boys were on a roll, playing 2 exciting games of ten pin bowling, followed by a delicious lunch. 😋

The Creative Shed at Delando Hub has been a hive of activity over the last few weeks, with participants working hard on making their very own key holders! 🔑

Turning raw materials into something functional and beautiful, the boys are showing that the process is just as satisfying as the final product.

Martyn has been letting the creativity flow, one drop at a time during a recent arts and crafts session at the Delando Hub. 🎨

He's been busy creating and decorating his very own rain maker, which once shaken, make a gentle, rain-like sound. 🌦

Spring has sprung! Which means it’s the perfect time to soak up the September sunshine. 🌞🌸

Delando Hub participant Margaret recently enjoyed a leisurely walk around the local area with her support worker Sam. The pair enjoyed the lovely weather and then returned to Delando Hub, where Margaret spent some time catching up with friends. 🙋‍♀️

Sun and smiles were in abundance when the Delando Hub New Focus social group ventured out to the Hunter Valley. 🌞

The group spent the day at The Deck Cafe Lovedale, where they enjoyed some beautiful scenery, delicious beverages and the chance to get up close to some animals. 🦆

Delando Hub Supported employee at the University of Newcastle, gardener and lawn bowling champion David, travelled to Guildford, Sydney in June to compete at bowls NSW 2024/25 champion of champions state finals. 🙋‍♂️

David was representing the MayWest Steelers after having been crowned the club major singles champion last November. David’s name is already etched in history and on the perpetual trophy as he was the inaugural ‘man of steel’ club major singles champion back in 2020.

Although unsuccessful this year in his quest for the NSW title; when quizzed about the upcoming club championships this November, David replied, “I feel I can go back-to-back!” 🏆

Delando Hub participants recently visited Snowtime in the Gardens for a magical, icy adventure filled with laughter, courage, and new experiences. ❄️⛄️

Among the many highlights were the races on the giant ice toboggan, where everyone took turns riding inflatable rings down the icy hill - cheering each other on and loving every second of the thrill.

One unforgettable moment was when Aislinn, who had always wanted to try ice skating, laced up some skates and stepped onto the ice for the very first time! ⛸

We have exciting news to share! Delando Corporation is joining forces with Castle Personnel to strengthen and protect the services our participants rely on.

As part of this new chapter, our Waratah location will now be known as Castle’s . We’ll continue to provide the services our community knows and trusts, including our one-on-one and group supports, and supported employment. We’ll now have the backing of Castle to keep them strong for the future.

Our launch event brought together participants, families, staff and board members to celebrate our history and the shared future as one.

The name may have changed, but the people, values, and heart of Delando remain the same. 💙

Castle Personnel acquires Delando Corporation, combining shared values, strengths and experience, to strengthen the services our participants rely on.
