Need a break? A break where you truly rest?
Rest and Restore offers restorative retreats that are inclusive, accessible and trauma-informed. With a team of over 20 practitioners, guests can experience a multitude of different modalities, group and individual sessions, with a focus on supporting your wellbeing.
The accommodation is at the beautiful Oscar's on the Yarra and the meals are utterly divine.
I've worked at this retreat for several years now (I'm pictured here offering my letting go ceremony on the final night), and I can attest to the care and attention that is given to every guest. So many guests return to this retreat, and there's a reason for that.
There are a couple of spots left for our July retreat, but as these retreats usually book out, I recommend jumping in to secure your spot asap!

It's squeeeeeeze time! 🪗
I've been looking for a squeeze box for such a long time, and I'm thrilled the perfect one came along!
Now I just need to learn how to play it 😬 and as a primarily wind and string musician, an accordion is a whole new adventure...and kinda intimidating!
Will it be part of my Sound Medicine Hikes? Nope. These are still happening of course, but I've got a new music endeavour in the works...more on that soon!

Winter is here. Frosty days and little treasures to be found in the forest 🍄
I've never seen these translucent blue beauties before. Seen in the Redwood Forest, Yarra Ranges National Park. Does anyone know what they are?

Experience the magic of forest bathing, nature connection, and plant music (hear the plants sing!), with a sound healing amongst the beautiful forest of the Yarra Valley Living Centre.
This experience is an ideal way to slow down and calm the nervous system. You and your children will be guided to forest bathe, meditate, and connect with nature.
The content is suitable for children aged 5 years and up. Younger children are still very welcome to attend and enjoy the music and nature. This is not a drop-off event, parents need to accompany and supervise their children.
For those who can, a suggested donation of $10 per person or $30 per family. Children under 5 are free.
Facilitatied by Catherine Marty from Dare to Change Therapies.

What a beautiful afternoon with wonderful folk. Bushwalking, plant music, meditation, fireside sound healing in the geodome.
Winter Solstice is next Saturday, so it's time to start letting go of what doesn't serve you. It's time to make space to plant those seeds of change over the winter months.
Thank you to the stunning PEACE FARM for hosting us 🙏

After seeing as much of the world as possible, and my world view changed by volunteer projects in Thailand and Cambodia, I ventured into my next life stage as a mental health practitioner, then a family violence specialist and trainer. This work has given me the priviledge of working with incredible people from all walks of life, all of them wanting to heal, to be safe, to live their best life.
This work also took me on an unexpected journey of my own mental illness which gave me first hand experience of the daily struggle, the isolation, the fear that it will never get any better.
I shifted between psychologists, self care plans were created and then recreated, hope was lost, found and then lost again; I just couldn't find the help to find sustainable change.
Then I found TRTP - The Richards Trauma Process, and it changed everything. I experienced such incredible change that I decided to become a practitioner myself, and I can't wait to welcome you on this amazing journey with me.
My sound healing path started in early childhood, moving from piano to violin and eventually becoming a singer-songwriter at 15, and fell in love with performing my own songs with my guitar. I spent years performing around Melbourne and London in my early adulthood, honing my skills and sharing music with amazing people.
Fast forward to a few years ago, when I turned to energy healing and sound baths to help with my mental health, I formed a new relationship with music as it healed my soul. As a qualified Reiki practitioner, I now combine energy healing with shamanic practice and sound medicine, and when I'm leading a Sound Medicine Hike, I love to share my passion for forest bathing and connecting with nature.
For more information about Sound Energy Healing, please check out my website or get in touch. I hope to share this beautiful practice with you.
