When your brain feels foggy or you feel unsettled, is your go to scrolling your phone?
I invite you, when or if you have this feeling and you go to pick up your phone, take your shoes off instead, step outside, take some deep breaths, pick some flowers or just be for a moment in a natural space. Come back to your work or whatever it was you were trying to do and notice if there has been now a shift in your mind, your body and how your interacting with that task.

Happy New Year my amazing fitness community. What a year! You should all be so proud of yourselves for the commitment and dedication you had to your health and well-being! We’ve all adapted and persevered and managed to maintain and deepen the connections with ourselves and community.

Yay!!!! I’m so excited to see you beautiful humans again!!
Group classes can return as of Nov 8 if all goes to plan which means our group Pilates will start back at the Redwood Centre Wednesday 6pm followed by a second round 7 15pm to space out numbers!
I cannot wait!!! You can even start booking in if you’d like 🙌

Make choices from a place of self-love.
From the food you put into your bodies, make that an act of self love, if you choose from the earth if you’re choosing a sweet then choose from love without judgement or self sabotage.
The same goes for your movement if you’re choosing to be sedentary do with love to nurture and rest if you’re choosing a high intensity workout then move with the intent to always be giving back.

Make your choices from a place of self-love and place trust in that choice.

It started with a run only about a 1km I was worried I’d miss the sunrise. I made it and for the next hour and half there was no more running just stillness a meditative observation of the miraculous world around me.

Did you know there are over 50 natural reserves and parks in Frankston?
I have a week off work this coming week and I’m so excited for some nature exploring and learning more about our indigenous plants and country. Some of you may even get a postcard!

I invite you to look ahead and think of your future self reflecting back on how you utilised your time during this pandemic.... perception is a powerful mindset. Check out the resources of your local council and explore the place most of us have had the privilege of choosing to live.

We’re lost, we’re numb, we’re angry, we’re scared, we’re heartbroken.
We’re living in a time that we don’t understand. People are dying, we feel divided, we feel alone.
We’re questioning what is real, what is truth because everything is unknown.

Take a breath, you are here, look around, what is in front of you is real, reach out, you’re never alone.

We’ve been living in a state of anxiety since the first fires started blazing in 2019 the world as we know it changed, it changed too fast for us to keep up and we’ve been tripping over trying to plant our feet ever since but it’s one thing after the other and that’s scary I know.

So take a breath, plant your feet in the earth, because our environment, our world even our politicians are all asking us to slow down. We’ve all been injured and when you’re injured you need to slow down to heal. It’s hard I know but we’ll feel better soon. Seek comfort in the little things, the long cups of tea, the sun on your skin, the voice of someone you love that brings warmth to your heart.

The earth is healing, the spring flowers are blooming and you are healing, you’re growing and will flourish again soon.

Be patient my loved ones we’ve all got each other 🤝

My daily practice includes, walking, meditation and stretching.
My weekly practice includes activities that I’ll do once or maybe a few depending on energy and what I’m feeling. These include:
Pilates, kayaking, running, tree climbing, dancing, yoga and skateboarding

Each time you smile you show yourself you can be happy.
Each time you cry you’re allowing yourself to feel and let go.
Each time you choose to follow your passion and your heart you’re honoring yourself.
Each time you reach out for support you’re showing strength to acknowledge that you don’t have to do anything alone.
Every act where you decide to put yourself first is an act of self love 💗

Some days are darker then others, but keep looking and you can always find some light.

Honor yourself and your mental health, check in with each other, even complete strangers, share kindness and kindness is what you’ll receive in return.

I love that this pandemic has encouraged people to take their bodies out in their backyard more. We may be in isolation but there can still be freedom in that. Move your bodies and get out in the sunshine.

What a great double Pilates Wednesday in Warburton.
Thank you to beautiful Penny from for the gorgeous immunity oil blends to breathe in as we practice, and special hand sanitizer!

Everyone is asked to sign a waiver on arrival stating they haven’t experienced any cold or flu symptoms in the past two weeks, and haven’t been in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms. All equipment used is disinfected with our Eucalyptus spray before and after use and social distancing rules apply.
Keeping safe and healthy so we can be present in our bodies, feeling at ease to practice together 🙌

Pilates classes are Wednesdays 6pm- 7pm and 7 15pm - 8 15pm at Warburton’s Redwood Community Centre.
If you’d like to come and join a class then please contact me as spots are limited to ensure we’re all keeping to social distancing and staying healthy ❤️
