Lindy Schneider - Writer, Writing Mentor and Therapist

Lindy Schneider - Writer, Writing Mentor and Therapist Writing is about the pursuit of meaning and passionate action – meaningful words are the essence of a meaningful world.

Freelance writer, Accredited Life Story writer, writing mentor & coach, content specialist and psychotherapist/equine therapist

THE RIGHT WORD CHANGES EVERYTHING My writing has an inspirational quality, an emotional integrity that stems from a narrative based on personal experiences and deep reflection. My quest is to be authentic, honest and mindful of the details that make life rich, gathering the threads that weave the tapestry of human experience. I value the poetic and see writing as a beautiful way to connect and elevate life. Through our words we stand for what we believe. I work glocally (global/local) and am a part of the new era in self-created, balanced living. I live with a mountain and a river in the pristine Yarra Valley – writers’ bliss on the outskirts of Melbourne – but my virtual office takes me many places.

Exactly one year ago today I boarded a flight to Italy for a six week writing sabbatical.
Comiso, in the Ragusa region, Sicily is the town I chose to call home for those soul nourishing weeks and this video fills me with nostalgia as I mentally walk the streets again and feel the endless resonance of this second home. I immersed myself in language and culture and wrote 60,000 words, mastered driving on the wrong side of the car (and road - terrifying) and took a wonderful series of language classes with Biagio La Perna who has been my teacher now for about five years. My vineyard home Chiusa del Curiale - Ospitalità in vigna was the perfect resting place and offered the comfort of cats and vines and a sense of solitude that was long overdue.
It was an incredible experience and one I seek to repeat for many years to come.
Join my meanderings in the video below (and one day read my book!)
Video is In italian but pop subtitles on.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Here’s a list of elements that contribute to how we determine your ideal life story word count. How much material there is to work with? Sometimes we need to make […...

Life Stories Australia

…or have someone write it for you? The right time to write your life story is ‘always’. A life deserves to be captured in all its stages of development, maturation, triumph and tribulation. It makes sense to reflect on life in a continuous way, if you have the time and inclination. It is from ...

I have just returned from a professionally nourishing, soul satisfying mini break in the city attending the annual conference.

I have been an accredited member of this peak body now for six years and I love the support, the inspiration and the friendships this wonderful group of dedicated writers offer. We are all different, use varied forms of storytelling including written, visual and audio, and yet we are all united in our work to document the lives of people with grace, professionalism and connection.

I am pleased to announce I have accepted a position on the board of Life Stories Australia for the coming year, and I am looking forward to working with, and for, our current and future members. I’m excited to make a contribution and see all the stories flourish.
