Why do our feet get dry?

Ever noticed your feet feeling rough, tight, or flaky? That’s usually a sign of dry skin, also called xerosis. It happens when your skin loses too much moisture - often due to cold weather, hot showers, or harsh soaps.

Here’s how to care for dry feet:

✔️ Moisturize daily, especially after bathing.
✔️ Keep showers short and use warm (not hot) water.
✔️ Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers.
✔️ Wear cotton socks to help seal in moisture.
✔️ Protect your feet from cold or windy weather.

If your skin cracks, bleeds, or stays dry even with care, it’s best to see a doctor, podiatrist or dermatologist.

Consistent care keeps your feet soft, hydrated, and healthy.
