Peace it Together Sharing the ancient practices of yoga to help Peace it Together. I consider it a privilege to be able to share life lessons from my own personal journey.

As we move through this holiday period, please note a few class changes:

✨ No classes on Good Friday or Easter Monday
✨ Gentle Yoga Friday 10 & 17 April will be held at my home studio
✨ These classes are already fully booked

If you’re unable to attend your booked class, I would truly appreciate you letting me know so I can offer the space to someone else 🙏

As we move through this week’s Move to Improve classes, our focus has been on the thoracic spine — the middle of the back that plays such an important role in posture, breathing, and how freely the body moves.

Many of us spend long hours sitting or leaning forward, which can leave this part of the spine feeling stiff and restricted. Through gentle mobility and breath-led movement, we’ve been exploring ways to create more space across the chest, shoulders, and upper back.

When the thoracic spine begins to move more freely, the breath deepens, the body feels lighter, and the neck and lower back often soften in response.

Take a moment to notice how your body has felt in practice this week… and how that sense of space and ease might follow you off the mat as well.

Move to Improve – Beginning Monday 16 March

This week kicks off our new series - Move to Improve - which begins Monday 16 March.

Our focus will begin with the thoracic spine — the often-overlooked middle of the back that plays a vital role in posture, breathing, and ease of movement.

Many of us spend long hours sitting, driving, or leaning forward through the day. Over time, the thoracic spine can become stiff and restricted, which may contribute to tension in the neck, shoulders, and lower back.

In this series we’ll gently explore:
✨ mobility through the mid-back
✨ movements that support healthier posture
✨ breath that expands through the ribs and chest
✨ simple practices that help the whole spine move more freely

When the thoracic spine moves well, the body often feels lighter, the breath becomes fuller, and the neck and lower back don’t have to work so hard.

If you’ve been feeling tight across the shoulders, hunched through the upper back, or simply curious about moving with more ease — this practice is for you.

Come along and move to improve.

Hello my name is Angelique Pratten and I’d love to share with you my passion.

My passion is yoga.

Peace it Together was born from my deep desire to share the many benefits of the ancient practices of yoga and to teach others how to apply these techniques in a practical way to successfully navigate our busy, modern world.

The science of yoga provides a number of techniques to bring us back to centre, to find our place of peace and gain a sense of equanimity. These practices include yoga asana (physical postures), meditation (dhyana), breath work (pranayama) and Kirtan (devotional chanting).
