At Quambie Park, we are proud to celebrate the beautiful diversity that makes our community so special. 🌏💛
As many families observe Ramadan, we recognise this meaningful month as a time of reflection, generosity, gratitude, and connection. It’s a season that highlights values we all share — kindness, compassion, respect, and supporting one another.

Our strength as a community comes from embracing different cultures, traditions, and beliefs. Whether you are observing Ramadan or simply learning more about it, this is a wonderful opportunity to come together, build understanding, and celebrate what unites us.

Wishing peace, joy, and togetherness to everyone in our Quambie Park community. 🌙✨

🔥 Community Monthly BBQ – Let’s Bring Everyone Together! 🔥

We’ve recently received some lovely feedback from residents who would enjoy a regular social gathering — and a monthly BBQ was a popular suggestion!

We’re excited to propose hosting a Community BBQ on the second Wednesday of every month at Pam Corker House.

This relaxed and welcoming event will be open to:
🏡 Pam Corker House residents
🌿 ILU Residents
👨‍👩‍👧 Family Members

It’s a wonderful opportunity to:
✨ Strengthen community connections
✨ Enjoy great food in a friendly setting
✨ Spend time together in a relaxed environment

With our Op Shop now open every Wednesday, the BBQ will also be a great chance to visit the shop, support our fundraising efforts, and encourage more visitors to our site.

We will also explore coordinating volunteer support to help make each BBQ enjoyable and run smoothly.

We’d love to hear your thoughts! If there’s strong support, we’ll include full details in the upcoming newsletter and start promoting our first BBQ date.

🌭 Good Food. Great Company. Stronger Community.

🐎 Celebrating Diversity at Quambie Park – Happy Chinese New Year! 🧧

At Quambie Park Waroona, we are proud to celebrate the rich diversity of our residents, staff, and community. Cultural traditions bring us together, create meaningful connections, and remind us that aged care is not just about support — it is about belonging.

As we welcome the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse, we reflect on the qualities the horse represents: strength, endurance, energy, and optimism. These values resonate strongly within our home, where resilience and community spirit are part of everyday life.

Recognising and celebrating important cultural events helps us create an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued. Whether it is through shared stories, traditions, food, or decorations, moments like these brighten our home and enrich the lives of those who live and work here.

From all of us at Quambie Park, we wish our residents, families, staff, and the wider Waroona community, health, happiness, and prosperity for the year ahead.

Gong Xi Fa Cai! 🎉

So tell us 👇
Salt water… or fresh water?
Sea breeze... or the scent of eucalyptus?

In the Shire of Waroona, it’s not about choosing just one — it’s about how much you can experience in a single day.

(Local secret: in Waroona, you can enjoy both before sunset.)

Breathe in salty air and wide horizons at Preston Beach, then trace the waterways inland to calm weirs and rivers before climbing into cool, towering jarrah forest of Nanga & Lane Poole Reserve - where the pace naturally slows.

From glassy water reflections to dappled bush light, every turn feels like a gentle reset.

Room to slow down between sea and scarp.
Open roads, changing landscapes and space to breathe.

Plan your escape at visitwaroona.com.au — your guide to Discover, Adventure, Stay and Eat in our incredibly diverse and beautiful Shire of Waroona.
