Excited and privileged to be nominated by Warracknabeal Racing ClubInc as their chosen charity for the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour National Sweep! Barrier 3 is the one to watch! We thank the club for their support and wish Meg and Grace all the best for their day out!

Our two ladies from the Warracknabeal Racing Club committee, are heading to the big smoke, to represent our club at the 2025 Lexus Melbourne Cup 🏆

Apart of our LMCT (Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour) event, was the opportunity to enter the sweepstakes competition on Melbourne Cup Day! The winner of the sweepstakes is awarded a $50,000.00 cheque to our nominated charity! 💰

Our committee chose to donate our (potential) winnings to Woodbine Inc. Our local disability service provider, that has been among our community for decades. Woodbine was founded in 1951, creating a home for intellectually disabled children and has since grown into the largest disability service organisation in Western Victoria.

We have our fingers crossed that Meg & Grace will bring their luck 🍀 with them and we will be able to bring home the charity cheque to Woodbine!

Keep your eyes on BARRIER 3 - that’s our barrier! Horse is not yet named… but we are excited 🐎 🏆

Citizenship Ceremony

🎉 Congratulations to Elizabeth Gini Gomez! 🎉

We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth Gini Gomez as a new Australian citizen. The citizenship ceremony, conducted by Mayor Kylie Zanker and Deputy Mayor Andrew McLean, took place on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, in the Yarriambiack Shire Council Chambers.

It was a memorable event filled with pride as Elizabeth took the oath of citizenship and officially became part of our vibrant community. The ceremony was attended by over 40 guests who shared in the joyous celebrations of the significant occasion.

We wish Elizabeth all the best in this new chapter and look forward to the positive contributions she will make to our community.
