Counselling appointments are now available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Sometimes new clients come to me when they have an obvious issue that they want to address and work through; perhaps anxiety, stress, a relationship or work stress, but most of the time they say that they don't know what the issue is, they just feel a bit lost, lacking interest in life and the things that used to excite them, like they've lost their way, or themselves, and just know they need support to feel themselves and to enjoy life again.

Whatever it is that you need, i encourage you to reach out and book an appointment, I look forward to supporting you in Whatever it is that you need right now...

Today, sitting in the garden with my morning coffee, I was reflecting on our collective need to always be doing something — and the idea that only when we’ve done something is it worth sharing.

At my last meditation class, I shared that I’ve been feeling very slow returning to routine this year. Instead of giving myself a hard time, I decided to practice acceptance and simply be with that feeling.

Even though my body feels tired and unmotivated for work, school, and family routines, my heart feels alive — content, excited, and wanting to share my love of presence, awareness, body connection, and a regulated nervous system.

I genuinely love learning: doing courses, listening to podcasts that support my wellbeing and my craft of supporting others, and reading fiction just for fun. But last week, in the evenings, I just wasn’t feeling it. So instead of reaching for something to read or listen to… I just sat.

My mind needed a break from information and learning. It needed time to be and to integrate. It felt uncomfortable at first — but when I gave myself permission, my body softened. I noticed the scent of my peppermint tea, the simple feeling of my body relaxing into the evening, gently unwinding.

So I guess this is a little story of my “non-doing.” And I felt called to share it — in case you needed to hear this too.

An invitation to accept where you are physically and emotionally.
To let go of the mental story that you need to be doing something.
And to remember that if your body and mind are asking for quiet, for rest, for non-doing… that is worth doing 🤍

✨ You’re invited to experience Yoga Nidra ✨

If you’ve been feeling tired, overwhelmed, wired-but-exhausted, or like your body just won’t truly rest… Yoga Nidra may be exactly what you need 💛

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative, guided meditation that supports:
• Deep rest & better sleep
• Stress & anxiety reduction
• Nervous system regulation
• Emotional resilience
• Mental clarity & creativity
• Physical healing & recovery

This is a practice where you don’t do — you simply lie down, get comfortable, and allow the body and mind to rest.

✨ Even one session can create noticeable benefits.
I’m so excited to begin sharing this practice with my meditation group, and I would love for you to join me 🌿
Whether you’re new to meditation or have an existing practice, Yoga Nidra meets you exactly where you are.
💫 Interested in joining or learning more?
Send me a DM or book your spot in my next class on February 3rd

Science + Why It Matters

One of my favourite things I learned during my Yoga Nidra training was the science behind the practice 🧠✨

Research shows that the benefits of Yoga Nidra can occur after just ONE session — not necessarily after weeks of practice.

In studies, participants showed significantly reduced cortisol levels after a Yoga Nidra session compared to simply resting on the couch or reading a relaxing book.

Lower cortisol levels support:
• A more regulated nervous system
• Improved immune function
• Better mood & mental health
• Increased mental clarity
• Greater rest-and-recovery in the body

When our bodies are truly in rest mode, healing can happen — physically, mentally and emotionally 🌿

I can’t wait to share this practice with you.

My Personal Experience of Yoga Nidra

As part of my Yoga Nidra training, I committed to a daily practice for 14 days straight — and the benefits were incredible.

I experienced such deep rest and relaxation that one day I even drifted off into a nap at the end… something I never do during the day!

It became a powerful recovery tool after busy days, giving me the energy I needed for my afternoon/evening “shift” as a mum.

What surprised me most was how quickly my body learned to rest — even outside of practice. I noticed:
• Faster relaxation during the day
• Improved sleep
• A greater sense of calm
• More energy when I needed it most
Yoga Nidra taught my nervous system how to rest, and I am continuing to use this style of guided Meditation as a regular part of my daily practice💛

✨ Exciting news! ✨
At the end of last year, just before my break, I completed my training in Yoga Nidra Meditation — and I am so excited to begin sharing this beautiful practice with my meditation group.
Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative, guided meditation that supports the body and mind in rest and recovery.
✨ Did you know: 1 hour of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to 4 hours of deep sleep?
Some of the powerful benefits include:
• Deep rest, relaxation & improved sleep
• Reduced stress & anxiety
• Decreased cortisol (stress hormone)
• Increased dopamine — our feel-good hormone
• Improved mental wellbeing & emotional resilience
• Support for physical healing
• Increased clarity & creativity
This practice gently guides you into a state where the body can truly rest, reset and heal 💫
More to come soon…
