A reminder Dr Alex Strat has completed his GP training and will be finishing up at our clinic, with his last day being Friday 27th March. He will move to a clinic closer to home in Sandringham - they will be lucky to have him!

If you’ve been meaning to book in for a review, follow-up or would simply like to see Alex before he finishes up to organise continuity of care, appointments are still available over the coming weeks.

We wish Alex all the very best for what’s next and thank him for the wonderful care he’s provided to our community.

Joe, Rochelle and Aisling join us as part of their GP specialist training through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), bringing fresh enthusiasm, up-to-date knowledge and a genuine passion for patient care.

They’ll be working alongside our experienced team, seeing patients across all areas of general practice and becoming part of our clinic community. We’re so pleased to support the next generation of GPs and know our patients will make them feel right at home.

If you see Joe, Rochelle or Aisling around the clinic, please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

Please see information about local Measles exposure from WGHG.
- We will remain vigilant to protect our patients and staff members by continuing to screen visitors to the practice for fever, rash and respiratory symptoms.
- You may be asked to wait in your car until your doctor is ready to see you for your appointment
- 😷 masks are always available at reception

By waiting in your car (or in our courtyard on a sunny day), you are protecting babies who are too young to be vaccinated, immunocompromised people, and our staff to be able to continue to provide healthcare to the community - thank you for your kindness!

If you have questions about the Measles-Mumps-Rubella vaccine, our Nurse Immunisers will be happy to advise by calling (03) 5622 0444.

In the coming months, we will say a fond farewell to:
- Dr Alex Strat, who has completed his GP training and will move to a clinic closer to home in the suburbs.
- Dr Masaa Al-Nuaimi, who is finishing her 12-month placement with us and will be continuing her training down the road at Trafalgar Medical.

We are incredibly grateful for the care, dedication and professionalism both doctors have shown to our patients and team during their time at Gladstone Street Medical Clinic. They have been valued members of our practice, and they will be greatly missed.

We wish Dr Alex and Dr Masaa every success and happiness in this next chapter of their careers, thank you for being part of the GSMC community 💐

Stay tuned for information about our new GP registrars we will be welcoming in February.

🩺 Think about booking in a skin check with your GP

Choose “skin check” when booking online at www.hotdoc.com.au or call our reception team to book in your skin check on (03) 5622 0444.

Melanoma can appear anywhere on the skin. But for men, it’s more common on the chest, back, head, or neck.

Next time you're due for a self-skin check, take some time to scan from head to toe. Look out for spots that are:
- new
- have changed in shape colour or size.
- are different from others on your body

If you spot one of any one of these three things, book an appointment with your GP.
