You may have seen “Y-strap” neck manipulations videos online…

At Warragul Chiropractic Centre, we do not use a Y-strap — in any capacity.

It wasn’t part of our formal chiropractic training, and at this stage there is no clinical evidence supporting its use for high-velocity neck manipulation.

We prioritise careful assessment and use gentle, controlled spinal decompression techniques tailored to each individual. Your neck deserves thoughtful, evidence-based informed care.

Once again, we are proudly taking part in Clinicians for Change 2025 – A CARF Project running from on 19–24 October!

For 1 week, participating chiropractors across Australia will donate $2 from every patient visit to the Chiropractic Australia Research Foundation (CARF). This initiative helps fund research
scholarships, grow the evidence base for chiropractic care, and invest in the future of our profession.

By participating, Warragul Chiropractic is showing leadership and supporting better care for patients today and in the future.

There are no words that adequately describe the deep sadness we feel with the sudden passing of Amy Fankhauser, aged just 27. We were fortunate to have her in our lives since she arrived in the world. She was the most peaceful and chill baby, a quality she maintained as she blossomed into a beautiful young lady. Ams spent much time at our practice during her Uni years helping digitalise our files. If she was having a bad day she never showed it!

Ams showered our two children with love as their babysitter while we were here at work. Giaan and Quin were blessed to have her in their lives at such formative ages. She was kind, patient and would play endless puzzles and games with them. Her stories, UNO rules and love of music will continue in two kids whose hearts are broken. We will carry wonderful memories of Ams forever. You will never be forgotten.

All our love to Jackie, Jason, Ben and Sammy, extended family and all those lucky to call Ams their friend. Our hearts ache for you.

Shree is no stranger to the challenges that come with being a football player. This season, she has experienced both the highs—being named last week's Player of the Round 😄—and the lows—sitting out this week due to injury at training ☹️. As your chiropractor, her firsthand experience gives her a unique perspective on the personal toll injuries can take, as well as the dedication and resilience required for effective rehabilitation.
