Christmas can be a difficult time of year, and even harder when you are not sure what services are open for contact. Warragul Wellness Centre reception staff are now taking a well deserved holiday break until the 6th of January.

However, you can still contact me via naomicarswellpsychology@gmail.com if you would like to make an appointment for yourself or a loved one (I currently have appointments available from Tuesday the 14th of January onwards), or send through a referral (addressed to me at the Warragul Wellness Centre).

Under the government’s Better Access Initiative, if you have a valid GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan, you can access Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. MBS benefits are available to people with a diagnosed mental disorder. This includes many conditions, such as depression and anxiety. The first step is to speak with your GP, or if relevant, your psychiatrist or paediatrician. They will decide if you are eligible for support under the Better Access initiative.

At this time, I am also accepting NDIS and private referrals.

Please note that I only offer therapeutic services/psychological interventions, and not cognitive/diagnostic assessments.

Hello! My name is Naomi, and I am a clinical psychologist with over 13 years of experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, in a variety of settings including schools, mental health services, community health, hospitals, and non-government organisations.

I am returning to psychology work in the new year (2025), and am taking on referrals! I will be working out of Warragul Wellness Centre on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings, and I start in January!

My main interests are supporting people with stress, anxiety, anger/emotion regulation, relationship issues, and life adjustment issues. I also have a special interest in women who are trying to conceive, or those experiencing postpartum issues (including birth trauma).

Please note that I only offer therapy, and not assessments.

If you see your GP and obtain a referral and mental health care plan, you can access Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. I am also accepting referrals for NDIS and privately funded clients.
