Be Centre Foundation HOPE. HEALING. CHANGE

https://linktr.ee/becentre

Be Centre Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people and families impacted by emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties. A child is reported abused or neglected in Australia every two minutes, and every day the most vulnerable children and their families depend on Be Centre’s services. Be Centre provides a safe, therapeutic, confidential and caring environment to help children make sense of situations and events, explore and express their feelings, restore trust and build self confidence. Be Centre also offers parent counselling and skills courses to ensure the children get the support they need at home. We work with children, families, organisations and government and are continually expanding our services to meet increasing demand. We are dedicated to early intervention, stopping cycles of harm and helping children heal from difficulties and trauma so they can create a brighter future.

Today we had a wonderful surprise from our community partners over at Pharmacare, just in time for Christmas!

The giving-spirit is very much here as they generously gifted Be Centre some new Lego for our LEGO®-Based Therapy program. This was kindly gifted to Pharmacare to allocate to a charity of their choosing, of which Be Centre is the very grateful recipient.

At Be Centre, we offer small group LEGO®-Based Therapy sessions designed for children who need support with social confidence, teamwork, flexible thinking, and emotional regulation. This therapy is beneficial for any child who may find social interactions challenging or overwhelming. As the group works toward shared building goals, children learn how to navigate conflict, express ideas, negotiate rules, and celebrate teamwork in a fun and engaging environment. The results of this have been very successful, and we look forward to continuing this program in 2026, with some brand new resources thanks to Pharmacare!

We are truly grateful for the partnership we have formed with Pharmacare, continuously supporting us and our mission through in-kind product donations, event sponsorships, and advocating for Be Centre and our mission. We thank you again for this incredible gift, and wish the whole team at Pharmacare a very Merry Christmas. We look forward to continuing our relationship in 2026!

If you believe your child could benefit from LEGO®-Based Therapy, our first term will start back up on Tuesdays, beginning 10/2/2026. Please visit our website for more info, or contact us at groups@becentre.org.au.

When Be Centre first met six-year-old Emma in February this year, she was a little girl carrying a very heavy world on her shoulders. In the six months leading up to this, her life had changed completely. Her parents had separated after a period of domestic violence, she had lost the only home she had ever known, and she had just received new diagnoses — Autism, Social Anxiety, and Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

Everything around her felt uncertain and unsafe. Emma lived in a constant state of worry, unsure how to make sense of her feelings or how to find comfort in a world that seemed to have turned upside down.

That is when Emma began her Hear Me Play program with Be Centre...

What a year we have had at Be Centre!

2025 has been a hugely successful year of growth, fundraising and healing.

Throughout the year we have had many successful fundraising events, with our Gala Dinner, Golf Day and Trivia Night to name a few.

Our Founder's Circle has continued to expand, with new members signing up, helping us create our own fundraising network of incredible, philanthropic women.

We have also seen the expansion of our clinical program offerings, with new groups created and available, as well as advances in our Teleplay Therapy research. We have piloted a domestic violence art therapy program up on the Central Coast, helping us reach an area with critical need for support, as well as observing growth in our existing programs within our Warriewood centre.

We have connected even further with our local community, partnering with these community members for events such as Beach 2 Beach and City 2 Surf, as well as partnering with local preschools and schools delivering educator programs.

We look forward to what the next year will bring and growing even more in 2026!

Thank you for supporting us on the journey, and for being a part of our Be Centre community this year. Your support means the world!

Be Centre was lucky to share our preschool professional development program with the educators over at Kiddiwinks Warriewood.

In the session we talked through various scenarios, discussed concepts of felt safety, co-regulation, windows of tolerance and more!

Unlike typical PD sessions, Be Centre focuses on what YOU need, addressing the concerns or experiences your team is facing at that time.

Thank you Kiddiwinks for having us, and for this beautiful testimony. We loved witnessing and feeling that ‘light-bulb moment’ alongside you.

If you work at a Preschool or a Childcare Centre who you think could benefit from this course, please contact us via our website, using the link below.

We would love to help you and your team achieve this same ‘light-bulb moment’.

Be Centre would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our incredible volunteers for the time and work they have put in throughout this year!

From administrative duties, to warmly welcoming our clients as they arrive, assisting at events, organising office spaces and co-facilitating groups, we could not be more grateful to the volunteers that have helped make this year the incredible success that it was.

To our volunteers - the world truly is a better place because of people like you and we love having you as a part of our Be Centre family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

These words from a parent remind us of the impact we have on each child’s journey. The healing we provide goes beyond therapy—it’s a space where children can feel safe, seen and celebrated for who they are.

But to continue offering this invaluable support, we need your help. As we face an increasing demand for longer-term therapy, additional funding is essential to ensure that we can continue to serve every child who needs us, at no cost to their families.

With your support, we can help even more children thrive. Every donation no matter big or small, is a step towards helping a child and saving their future. To make a donation, please visit the link in our bio.

Last Thursday we were incredibly lucky to be joined by a beautiful group of philanthropic women for our 2025 Founder's Circle lunch event.

The room was filled with such connection and emotion as moving, heartfelt stories of hope and healing were shared, inspiring the room with Be Centre's impact.

A huge thank you to all who joined us on this special day, for taking part and to those who elected to be a member of our Founder's Circle.

Your commitment to support Be Centre helps us achieve our mission of healing as many children as possible. For this, we are so grateful.

Another big thank you to for hosting us at the beautiful Manly Pavilion.

We look forward to what next year brings!
