Be Centre Foundation HOPE. HEALING. CHANGE

https://linktr.ee/becentre

Be Centre Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people and families impacted by emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties. A child is reported abused or neglected in Australia every two minutes, and every day the most vulnerable children and their families depend on Be Centre’s services. Be Centre provides a safe, therapeutic, confidential and caring environment to help children make sense of situations and events, explore and express their feelings, restore trust and build self confidence. Be Centre also offers parent counselling and skills courses to ensure the children get the support they need at home. We work with children, families, organisations and government and are continually expanding our services to meet increasing demand. We are dedicated to early intervention, stopping cycles of harm and helping children heal from difficulties and trauma so they can create a brighter future.

We’re thrilled to share Be Centre’s 2025 Annual Report!

This year’s report celebrates the incredible impact our community has made together with children re-discovering a sense of safety and resilience, educators deepening their practices, and families experiencing the power of play-based therapy.

It captures the stories, milestones, and collective achievements that shaped 2025 at Be Centre and reflects our ongoing commitment to early intervention and undoing the unthinkable.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come and are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported and believed in our mission.

We invite you to explore the report and celebrate with us the journey of growth that 2025 was.

Introducing the Be Centre Central Coast Team!

We’re proud to introduce the incredible team supporting children and families on the Central Coast.

Emily (Art Therapist), Kathleen and Thea (Co-facilitators).

Together they run our weekly therapeutic group in Woy Woy for children impacted by domestic and family violence, using creative and play-based approaches to help children feel safe, seen and supported.

We are deeply grateful for our partnerships with Central Coast Family Support Service (CCFS) and Coast Shelter. By working together, we create safe environments that form a true safety blanket for children and their families.

We currently have limited spaces available for 1:1 Art Therapy on the Central Coast.

“There is always light. If only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it. In times of darkness... Be the Light”

At Be Centre we are passionate about what we do for children who are battling some of life’s toughest challenges at such a young age. This is why our Gala theme year on year, will continue to be 'Be the Light', representing the light and hope that Be Centre's programs gives these children.

Together, through early intervention, we are stopping cycles of harm and helping children heal from difficulties and major trauma so that they can thrive.

Help us, help them, with all funds raised from our gala dinner going towards providing our play therapy program to those children in need.

Help us to be their light of hope and healing, as they navigate through the darkness.

Join us at our Gala Dinner on the 24th of April 2026, raising much needed funds to help these children find the light. Don't miss out, link to book tickets in our bio.

These beautiful words from one of Be Centre's supporters, and Founders Circle Member are a true testament to what we do here at Be Centre.

Be Centre would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Renee, Befor Insurance Solutions, The Envest Group and The Ardonagh Group, specifically the Ardonagh Community Trust, for supporting us and providing us with a £5,000 donation.

This money will go a long way in helping us on our mission to heal as many children as possible.

We are grateful to Renee for advocating for Be Centre and for putting us forward for this donation, as well as for her personal investment in our cause.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Warringah for their ongoing support and for funding our new furniture in our reception area.

The new furniture in this space has made it feel warmer and more welcoming, creating a more comfortable, homely environment for parents as they wait for their children during their play therapy sessions.

We always aim to take care of our families, and provide the best for them, and this is another amazing step in that journey. Thank you Rotary Club of Warringah for helping us take care of them.

Strong, connected families are key to helping children thrive at home, at school and beyond. That's why we are excited to share SuperParent Powers (SPP).

SuperParent Powers is a FREE, evidence-based online program that helps parents build stronger relationships with their children through practical strategies to improve communication, connection and confidence in supporting their wellbeing.

When parents are supported, children benefit too through:
• Greater wellbeing and resilience
• Improved focus and engagement in learning and daily life
• Stronger parent-child connections
• A proactive approach to supporting children’s mental health

Flexible, self-paced and accessible to families across Australia, SPP is an easy way to promote wellbeing and strengthen family relationships.

Connection = Protection
Help families strengthen their connections with their children by sharing SuperParent Powers with the parents in your network: www.superparentpowers.au

Today we had a wonderful surprise from our community partners over at Pharmacare, just in time for Christmas!

The giving-spirit is very much here as they generously gifted Be Centre some new Lego for our LEGO®-Based Therapy program. This was kindly gifted to Pharmacare to allocate to a charity of their choosing, of which Be Centre is the very grateful recipient.

At Be Centre, we offer small group LEGO®-Based Therapy sessions designed for children who need support with social confidence, teamwork, flexible thinking, and emotional regulation. This therapy is beneficial for any child who may find social interactions challenging or overwhelming. As the group works toward shared building goals, children learn how to navigate conflict, express ideas, negotiate rules, and celebrate teamwork in a fun and engaging environment. The results of this have been very successful, and we look forward to continuing this program in 2026, with some brand new resources thanks to Pharmacare!

We are truly grateful for the partnership we have formed with Pharmacare, continuously supporting us and our mission through in-kind product donations, event sponsorships, and advocating for Be Centre and our mission. We thank you again for this incredible gift, and wish the whole team at Pharmacare a very Merry Christmas. We look forward to continuing our relationship in 2026!

If you believe your child could benefit from LEGO®-Based Therapy, our first term will start back up on Tuesdays, beginning 10/2/2026. Please visit our website for more info, or contact us at groups@becentre.org.au.
