What is manual therapy?

Osteopaths use manual therapy and manipulation using their hands to diagnosis and treat your pain or injury. Sometimes, this is called β€˜hands-on’ treatment, this involves gently moving and working on the soft tissues that connect, support or surround the injured or painful area.

Soft tissues include muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, fibrous tissues, fat, blood vessels and other connective tissues that support structures and organs of the body.
