🥞 Life Skills – Shrove Tuesday 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Our amazing Life Skills crew celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making their very own pancakes from scratch! From carefully measuring ingredients and following the recipe, to mixing, cooking and safely using kitchen equipment, everyone was hands-on and gave it their all.

These sessions are about so much more than cooking – they build confidence, teamwork, independence and essential everyday living skills in a fun and supportive environment. The smiles (and the delicious smell of pancakes!) said it all. We are so proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by every participant. 🙌✨

🍓🍦🌊 Friday Fun Club Adventures

The fun didn’t stop there! Our Friday Fun Club Crew headed off on a wonderful community adventure, starting at Berry World where they picked fresh, juicy strawberries 🍓 – so much fun and delicious too!

Next stop was the ever-popular Timboon Ice Creamery for a well-earned sweet treat 🍦🧋 (because balance is important, right?).

The day continued with a visit to the iconic Timboon Trestle Bridge, followed by a scenic drive down to beautiful Port Campbell to soak up the stunning coastal views and enjoy the sunshine 🌊.

It was a couple of days filled with laughter, learning, adventure and making wonderful memories together. This is what community connection and meaningful participation is all about. 💛

We can’t wait to see what our crews get up to next!

Our team at 360 Southwest had the pleasure of attending the Merri River School Careers and Post School Pathways Expo this evening.

It was fantastic to connect with so many students, families and staff to talk about post school options, building independence, and the supports and programs available through NDIS and 360 Southwest. We loved sharing information about our:

🤝 Community Participation & Social Groups
💼 Employment Supports
🎯 Pathways to greater independence

Thank you to Merri River School for hosting such a well organised and welcoming event. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such an important conversation about young people’s futures.

🌿✨ Community Adventure – Friday Fun Club! ✨🌿

On Friday our Friday Fun Club crew headed off on a fantastic day of exploration and connection in our beautiful local region.

We made our way to Budj Bim National Park, where participants completed the Crater Rim Walk. The views were incredible, and it was a great opportunity to build fitness, confidence and teamwork while taking in the unique landscape.

After the walk, we travelled to Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre at Lake Condah. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and drink from the café before exploring the lake area, eel traps and eel tanks.

To finish the day, we checked out the Australian Sheep Dog Championship in Koroit.

Days like these are about more than just having fun, they’re about building life skills, community connection, independence and confidence. 💚

We’re so excited to share that Tamika, Mel and Rhianna, 3 of our amazing Employment Support participants have now completed the work experience component of their Intro to Hospitality Skills (Café) program, and what an achievement it’s been! 👏💪

Over the past few weeks, they’ve stepped outside their comfort zones, built real café, and customer service skills, and grown in confidence with every shift. From taking orders and making coffees to food preparation and working as part of a team, they’ve shown commitment, resilience, and a fantastic attitude throughout.

Work experience is a big milestone, it’s where learning meets real world practice, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they represented themselves. 🌟

A huge thank you again to Brophy Family & Youth Services for delivering such a meaningful and empowering program that creates genuine pathways to employment for young people in our community. 🙌💚

Our Life Skills crew have been busy the past couple of weeks, making the most of the sunshine and keeping busy with a mix of learning, movement, and fun 🌞

In the kitchen, participants have been building their confidence by practising safe knife handling skills while peeling and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables to create a yummy, healthy treat 🥑🥕🍎

We also loved our visit to the Warrnambool Community Garden, where we learned about the incredible work they do, the volunteer opportunities available, and how the space brings the community together 🌱 We’re really looking forward to volunteering throughout the year and being part of such a welcoming environment.

With the Australian Open buzz in the air, everyone embraced the challenge of trying something new, picked up a racquet and got right into the spirit of things with a hit of tennis 🎾

A busy couple of weeks filled with sunshine, new skills, community connection, and plenty of smiles 💚

Today our Community Inclusion Program participants enjoyed a fantastic visit to Bowls Club, getting out on the green and giving lawn bowls a go. Focus, determination, and a whole lot of fun on display! 😃

Outings like these are all about building confidence, trying new things, and feeling connected in the community 💚

𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚

Over the past month, our participants have been out and about enjoying the fresh air, staying active, and connecting with the community. From regular walks and exercise at Lake Pertobe and the Breakwater, to exploring beautiful local attractions like Hopkins Falls and the Grasslands Trail, it’s been a great month of movement and outdoor fun.

We’ve also loved getting involved in local community events, including the Model Train Show, Kite making and the Hole in One competition, giving participants opportunities to socialise, try new experiences, and build confidence in inclusive community settings 🚂⛳

These activities support wellbeing, independence, and meaningful community participation, and most importantly, lots of smiles and great memories 😊
