The use of retinol in the warmer months as we come into spring.
This powerful ingredient is known for promoting cell turnover and enhancing skin texture, but it requires some precautions in the summer.
Retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun, increasing the risk of sunburn.
Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily, and remember to reapply if you're outdoors!
Consider reducing the frequency of retinol application during the summer months to every other night to minimise irritation. If you notice redness or peeling, scale back until your skin feels balanced again.
