A huge thank you to Infront Racing and owner Mark Simpson for taking the time to visit us this season.

Mark generously ran a training session with our nipper competition squad, sharing practical skills and insights, and then spent time with our senior competition squad, passing on his experience as an iron athlete along with valuable knowledge around training and race preparation.

The last carnival before States in March was held at Ocean Grove on Sunday.
It was a long day with some challenging surf conditions.
Our club finished second overall in points.
Congratulations to everyone who competed.

On Saturday, our Pink Patrol proudly hit the beach to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in surf lifesaving.

We were incredibly proud to field a full patrol made up entirely of women, a powerful reflection of skill, leadership and community. Thank you to our inspiring guest speakers Alana, Ellie, Jane and Sandra for sharing their honest journeys of volunteerism, elite sport, resilience and balancing family life.

Thanks also to Patrol Captain Glenistair for his leadership and warm welcome.

With women formally part of Australian surf lifesaving only since the early 1980s, their impact across clubs and through Life Saving Victoria has been extraordinary.

Thank you to everyone who patrolled, attended and supported the day.

A huge congratulations to all competitors who took on the Shaw & Partners World Ocean Series – Southern States Showdown.

The Southern States Showdown spanned five carnivals across Victoria and South Australia: Warrnambool, Glenelg (SA), Torquay, Lorne and Brighton (SA) and showcased some of the strongest surf sports talent in the country.

We’re incredibly proud of the performances from Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club, who delivered a standout series:

🏆 11x series podium finishes

🔟 30x Top 10 series placings

An exceptional achievement that highlights the depth, consistency and strength of Warrnambool’s competition team.

On the premier national leaderboard for the World Ocean Series 2025/26, we also celebrated two outstanding Top 10 overall finishes:

🥈 U17 Male Ski – 2nd overall: Riley Shiell

🌊 Open Women’s Ski – 8th overall: Ellie Johnson

Fantastic results on both the regional and national stage. Congratulations to all athletes, coaches and supporters on an incredible series.

The 2026 AGL Shipwreck Coast Swim Series is officially in the books, and while the racing was fast, the history books were rewritten.

🪵 THE DRIFTWOOD CLUB (10 YEARS) Completing the full series once is an achievement. Completing every swim, every summer, for a decade is legendary. Please join us in congratulating our three newest inductees into the exclusive Driftwood Club:

🏆 THE 2026 GRAND SLAM (ALL 4 SWIMS) This year, 68 swimmers managed to complete the "Grand Slam" (Port Fairy, Portland, Warrnambool, and Port Campbell). From the 1.2km sprinters to the first-timers, you showed up to every start line and conquered the coast.

Thank you to every swimmer, volunteer, and surf club. Rest up, wash the salt off, and we’ll see you in December!
