True Spirit Revival

True Spirit Revival True Spirit Revival is your new favourite way to experience yoga. The recording reflects the infusion of play felt during their workshops.

Imagine your uplifting yoga practice, merged with live music, humour, challenge and connection. This exciting ‘Yoga Loves Music’ workshop collaboration between two internationally renowned presenters, Canadian-born yoga instructor, Kimberly Erin, and Australian singer- songwriter, Tom Richardson, evolved from a chance meeting at a Canadian music festival in 2012. Since their introduction, the pair

has taken their unique partnership and respective talents to festivals, retreats, studios, bars and theatres throughout the world. In 2016, their frequent flyer points continue to accumulate, with tours booked throughout Australia, North America, Europe and South-East Asia. Having spent the past two years connecting with a dedicated yoga community in Warrnambool on Victoria’s south-west coastline, Richardson & Erin expanded out of their studio, Seachange Yoga, and took Yoga Loves Music to the early risers at festivals around the country, including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival & Nannup Music Festival. Fresh from tours across Canada & Europe, the duo will bring their soul & sounds to yogis across WA, QLD, NSW & VIC, launching their brand new Yoga Loves Music album - ‘Live In Canada’. Kim guides an emotive yoga practice, using juicy pranayama & asana. Balancing ancient wisdom and yoga origins with light-hearted fun, the practice builds into a peak Vinyasa flow, continuing to strengthen, engage and get stuff moving! The final moments offer surrender & savour, to focus on the highest vibration of unity with spirit.

“Yoga is such a fascinating, diverse, ancient, undefined practice and I am constantly being humbled by the wisdom I have yet to learn. It is my joy and honour to teach, study and share Yoga in the world!” - Kimberly Erin. Music comes from, and speaks directly to the soul and whether consciously or sub-consciously vibrations awaken the mojo. People who have experienced yoga before know the feeling of bliss upon leaving a yoga class, centered and relaxed, yet supercharged. The additional energy and literal vibrations of live music during a yoga session greatly enhances these feelings.

“Yoga & music are best friends.... How can they not be?! Our minds, bodies and hearts are programmed to move when we hear music. To tap our toes, nod our heads, DANCE! Or, flow through a series of magical yoga poses. Somewhere along the line, some western dude came up with this crazy idea that music was meant to be played in a fancy concert hall, and people were to be placed in organized rows and to sit still. No thanks!” - Tom Richardson. Personally having a strong connection to the practice of yoga, Tom shares a live soundtrack that intertwines and mirrors Kim's dynamic yoga flow. Tom's positive humility, demeanour and lyrics spin a musical web amongst delicious slide guitar and infectious rhythms. Using the latest in loop pedal technology, the live soundscape enters the ears and pours straight into the heart, inviting participants to dive deeper & evolve their personal practice. On this tour, Tom & Kim decided to take step out of studios and take yoga to the community, utilising a multitude of venues across the country. They are looking forward to reviving true spirits through their insightful and enlightening workshops & retreats - connecting yogis and music lovers at festivals, conferences and studios across the country. www.truespiritrevival.com

It was a whole week dedicated to flinging open the doorways of the senses

Memories so beautiful they are made with a muscle that moves beyond logical comprehension.

Stored somewhere, still.

The day after the retreat asked what my favourite part of the journey was.

My mind scanned through the diverse + lush experiences but then rested on the standout moments of quiet conversations, the spaces in between where I learned so much by slowing down + listening to sweet souls tell their story.

Something about those impromptu dinner convos that start with “Can you please pass the salt” and end up in the realms of relations with grief paired with inappropriate banter.

Yessss those moments.

In this life that grows so wide and deep - we have so much to offer ourselves + each other

Surround yourself with people who say “wow, look at that” and point at something that was invisible to you prior

Thank-you and for stretching me in all the right ways + deepening my seeing.

The flow of retreats feeds my vital need for space AND welcomes the soft underbelly of soul that is exposed when time slows + allows for deep connections with others and with play, beauty, simplicity + renewal.

Moments that open the heart.

Subtle exchanges with the generous life-giving pulse become more obvious.

A naturally inner re-orientation.

It’s like noticing that the door you’ve been pushing actually pulls.

Not a craving for answers but spaces where questions are asked, where the spark of life is taken seriously

and makes part of me sit back + watch as the love comes out and out and out.

|| What I want is to open up. I want to know what's inside me. I want everybody to open up. I'm like an imbecile with a can opener in his hand, wondering where to begin...to open up the earth. I know that underneath the mess everything is marvellous. I'm sure of it || Henry Miller.

Some of my messes are not always so obvious + some could use a clean up crew, but every untangled thought, emotional wave, belly laugh & rambling conversation create the potent conditions for some unruly human insides to spill out.

I catch myself obsessing over keeping things tidy, neat + understood — yet to know whats really here, and for a true clean to take place the clutter has to sprawl.

Mess as prolific ground for creativity, to see the same things but in a new way.

To shake up the pattern + press refresh

Inextricable to the process of a deep clean, the chaos itself is of equal value to the to order.

A good mess creates a way for all things to be sorted, put away, refurbished or tossed appropriately.

The real big tidal wave messes are extra spesh - demanding absolute presence + absolute letting go.

Wishing you plenty of unruly moments, paired with all the necessary cleaning supplies (compassion, patience, trust, surrender) to get the dirty work done in the most fulfilling & joyous of ways…satiating the deep desire to feel free + spacious🌿

Cheers to making a damn mess.

Today + always 🌻

A slow hip flow with LIVE MUSIC BY THE INCREDIBLE

This class is special for so many reasons.

1. We filmed it in a jungle downpour + even though the roof was seriously leaking, no one got electrocuted

2. It’s really hard to find a onesie that fits a 6ft human. You’re welcome.

3. I had three cups of Bali coffee right before teaching + I was very stressed about not coming across as being stressed

4. Catur is a musical genius and creates soundscapes that made me forget all about points 1 + 3

5. You can access this class for free.

6. Tell your mom I said hi

How to say “BALI IS F*CKING OPEN AND RETREATS ARE BACK” but fancy & nice?!

It’s true and I have been trying to find the words to share how spesh it feels for gatherings on this island to be a thing again.

Paying deep respect.

Heavy with awareness of tragic stories, deep wounds & unjust circumstance may we find the strength to not look away.

May we drop to our knees in heartache & humility for the traditions that uphold the beauty of this land.

May we be willing to continue to learn & be moved beyond our own narrow perspectives or hidden bias.

To listen to the stories of unimaginable loss & continue to insist that no aspect of this experience will ever be propped up on the wounds of another.

To take a big breath & lean into the full story. All ways.

May traditional wisdom not only be heard but sincerely honoured and the pain of generations that have been deeply wounded be given back platforms, presence & space. To be untethered from the residue of judgment or denial.

May I own up to any of the ways my actions or ignorance might cause suffering in another. May I be willing - to stumble through the imperfections of growth & understanding to initiate deep healing that extends beyond my tiny impermanent life into the expanse of all beings.

The sweet little fusion of sunshine, tunes & sand everywhere - a momentary soak in deep breaths & collective juju.

I went into 2020 blissfully unaware at how much we need each other. I come out the other side humbled & thankful to have had the chance to remember.

Sundays in January, will bring more moments to gather - the classes might end up being 9 hours long cause I am just that excited to flow with y’all.

Keep an eye on The Space Wellbeing for schedule details ❤️
