We’ve launched our ‘Hope in Reach’ fundraising campaign to help finish off the financial year in the positive and begin the new financial year with a strong start.

We rely on donations to fund our ongoing operations, and we want you to know how critical and appreciated that support is to us.
We appreciate every single dollar that comes our way, so we can keep doing our work in supporting people to turn their lives around.

One person at a time!

We see the heart of each person, and know that God has created them for a purpose, and that HE HAS A PLAN. We don’t know what it is, but we are always so excited when that plan starts to reveal itself in someone’s life.

You can be part of that change, helping with the funds to provide a bed, a meal, a lesson, medical treatment, staff costs.

“Your donation lasts a lifetime”.

We live by the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 ; “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a HOPE and a FUTURE”.

Click on the link below for options to donate to this important work- you can do a one-off donation, or pledge a regular donation. Donations $2 and over are tax deductible!

And if this is not the right time for you right now to donate, we ask that you PRAY for us, and SHARE this post.

At Grace Academy we start our day with a short chapel service, where we can worship, reflect and pray.

Recently at Chapel, our CEO Steve shared his thoughts on
HOPE.

Hope can feel distant when life has been marked by addiction, broken relationships, or regret. Many people in recovery know what it's like to lose hope - not just in circumstances, but in themselves.

But God's hope is different.

Biblical hope isn't wishful thinking. It's not "maybe things will get better." It's a confident expectation that God is still working —even when we can't see it yet.
In rehabilitation, progress can feel slow. Some days are strong, others feel like setbacks.

But hope reminds us:
* Your past does not define your future
* Your struggle does not cancel your purpose
* Your story is not finished

God still has a plan for us!

Recovery is not just about stopping destructive behaviours —it's about rebuilding a life. And that takes hope.

Without hope:
* Change feels impossible
* Discipline feels pointless
* The future feels empty

But with hope:
* You start taking small steps again
* You begin to believe change is possible
* You can endure hard days knowing they won't last forever
* Hope is what keeps you showing up.

That’s the hope we hold onto at Grace Academy every single day.

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Help us keep Hope in Reach!

Our driveway - ‘Freedom Boulevard’

Freedom looks different to someone in recovery.

It’s not just about saying no to drugs or alcohol.
It’s waking up with a clear mind.
It’s feeling peace where there used to be chaos.
It’s choosing hope when everything once felt hopeless.

At Adult & Teen Challenge WA, “Freedom Boulevard” isn’t just a driveway—it’s a journey.

Every step down that road represents courage.
Every day is a choice to keep going.
And every life restored is a reminder that freedom is possible.

True freedom is found not just in breaking chains,
but in discovering the love of God—the kind of love that restores, rebuilds, and gives purpose again.

If you’d like to be part of someone’s journey to freedom, you can help make it possible.

On Friday 20th March, we had the absolute privilege of celebrating something truly special — the graduation of two of our students who have completed over 12 months in our residential program at Grace Academy near Esperance.

It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and so much gratitude. All of our current students were able to be there, standing alongside Jeanne and Eh as they celebrated just how far they’ve come. Moments like this remind us that change is possible, and hope is real.

Held in the beautiful ballroom at Government House, we were honoured to be joined by the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM, Governor of Western Australia who attended with his wife. As Patrons of ATCWA, their support means so much to our community. His Excellency personally presented Jeanne and Eh with their graduation certificates, making the moment even more meaningful.

We heard their stories — honest, courageous, and deeply inspiring. Their journeys haven’t been easy, but through perseverance, openness to change, and most importantly, a personal relationship with God, they have found strength and transformation. Today, they are both thriving — working, rebuilding their lives, and choosing to give back to others in work and volunteering. Jeanne is even preparing for an exciting new chapter, with her wedding coming up soon!

We know that God has incredible plans ahead for them both.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” — Jeremiah 29:11

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community. To the volunteers, small businesses, and everyone who contributed food, music, and flowers — you helped create a day that will not be forgotten. We couldn’t do this without you.

Adult & Teen Challenge WA would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Shire of Esperance for their generous grant support towards the purchase of our new Maytag Commercial Washing Machine.

To some, a washing machine might seem like a small or even boring purchase — but to us, it has made a wonderful difference. This machine has significantly improved the time and speed of our laundry processes, strengthened hygiene standards, and enhanced the overall efficiency of our daily operations. Reliable equipment like this plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly, and we are incredibly grateful for the Shire’s practical and meaningful support.

Thank you, Shire of Esperance, for investing in our work and helping us continue to provide a clean, healthy environment for those we serve.

19/12/2025

I would like to wish all our supporters, staff, students and families a Happy Christmas and Happy New Year. See you all in 2026.
