The Bundaleer Gardens Village is nestled in the most beautiful 12 acres of the Hastings Valley and represents a blend of history, beauty and tranquility. Located in the historical town of Wauchope, the Bundaleer Retirement Village has progressed significantly since construction first began in 1989. In total, there are now 79 Independent Living Units with a range of floor plans and styles all offering quality, secure, modern and desirable accommodation designed to take advantage of the outstanding township of Wauchope, only 15 kms away from the ocean and the natural beauty of one of Australia's finest hinterlands on its doorstep. The Bundaleer Gardens Village, “the jewel in the crown”, presents to our residents and their guests a village full of history and charm, which is comfortable and very stylish. Facilities include a craft room, billiards/darts, library, games room for indoor bowls and a meeting room for our various interest groups. The village itself is set within peaceful surrounds, complemented by landscaped gardens and an outdoor BBQ area. Offering residents the level of privacy and independence they would expect in their own homes, as well as providing a wide range of social and community activities and the opportunity to make new friendships and connections, the Bundaleer Gardens Village really is the perfect place to make friends and spend your retirement years. Also on the grounds is our accredited 84 bed Cameron Street Aged Care Facility, surrounded by tranquil gardens, with superb views stretching over the rural landscape, providing a reassuring presence and peace mind for residents wishing to plan for every future potential need. Yesterday, there was a VERY special milestone celebrated at one of Apollo Care's 14 aged care communities. Yackandandah Health Aged Care resident, Edith, turned 110! This birthday makes her the oldest woman in Victoria. Edith enjoyed the morning's festivities surrounded by many of her children, grandchildren and extended family, fellow residents, staff, and local community leaders, Diane Shepheard and Geoff Simmons. ⚡ Power Outage – Wauchope Update ⚡

We’ve been advised that a major power outage is currently affecting parts of Wauchope, with 1,369 customers impacted. Essential Energy crews are already on their way and working to repair the damage, which was caused by today’s strong winds damaging equipment.

The outage started just after 12:30pm and the current estimated restoration time is 3:30pm today (30/08/2025).

Some areas of the main street may have lost electricity as well.
