The program is based upon proven processes and research to promote mental and physical well-being through interaction interaction with rescued horses.

The Learn from Horses program aim to:

• Build confidence and self-esteem.
Improve emotional control and self-discipline.
• Assist with anxiety, anger management and impulse control.
• Develop healthy relationship skills by respecting self and others.
• Utilise activities to assist with spatial awareness, sensory perception, and hand/eye co-ordination.
• Assist individuals with dexterity and gross motor skills, body stability, and to increase postural muscle strength and stamina.
• Allow people to relax and have fun in a peaceful environment.
• Provide gentle equine interaction with residents of Nursing Homes.
Registered charity and NDIS provider.

Learn from Horses is a not for profit charity, and the LFH team delivers a tailored program based upon proven processes and research, to promote physical and mental well-being through interaction with our rescued horses.

Horses inspire a mental calmness and we want to be able to share that with others. There are so many in our community that may not have had positive role models in their life, some may not have had an opportunity to fulfil their lives, and the Horses Helping Humans Program offers an alternative way for people to reconnect and begin to find trust.

The Horses Helping Humans program aims to:

• Build confidence and self-esteem.

• Improve emotional control and self-discipline.

• Assist with anxiety, anger management and impulse control.

• Develop healthy relationship skills by respecting self and others.

** Loving companion home wanted **

💕 Meet Simba 💕

30 year old gelding.
His owner died and the son, who was looking after him, is mentally disabled. He was in the middle of Bellangry Forest on 1/2 acre of land being fed by Support Workers who were looking after the son but then the son had to move to town. A friend from Port Macquarie rescued him but he ended up with us.
He has tested positive for Cushings so requires medication. And being an oldie he needs to be hard fed.
There has been one interested party but they're unable to pay for the additional cost of medication , would anyone be able to sponsor that cost?
He is a very gentle, talkative old boy and sticks up for himself protecting his food against a young gelding. If anyone could give this old gentleman a companion home, please let us know.
Not looking for opinions on this situation, plz no "euthanase him" comments if you can't help just scroll by, Thanks.

Hi, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Carol Piper the new publicity officer for Learn from Horses and ill be helping run the socials. I'm good on Facebook but Tik Tok, Instagram etc will be a learning curve but I'm up for it , wish me luck.
