We are excited to welcome Shani, to The Wellness Collective Wauchope ✨

As we step into a new year of huge growth here at The Wellness Collective , her approach aligns beautifully with our vision for the year ahead, expanding our offerings, to elevate integrative care for the Mid North Coast, continuing to create a clinic where mind, body, and nervous system are all held with compassion and consideration for health.

Shani is a holistic wellness practitioner with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, weaving together counselling, somatic awareness, embodiment practices, creative expression, and nature-based connection for clients. Her work honours the whole person, supporting emotional regulation, self-connection, clarity, and meaningful, embodied change.

With qualifications in Social Science, Counselling, Mental Health, Art Therapy, and Women’s Embodiment, Shani offers deeply personalised integrative counselling sessions that create a grounded, nurturing space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

We are honoured to have Shani join our collective and can’t wait for our community to experience the depth, wisdom, and care she brings ✨

🌿✨ The Power of Whole Foods for Healing & Wellness ✨🌿

As we approach the silly season and all the festive treats that come with it, let’s take a moment to remember the foundation of true health: whole, nutrient-dense foods. 🎄🌱

Good quality, minimally processed foods are essential for reducing inflammation and supporting our body’s ability to heal. Chronic inflammation is a silent player in the progression of many common chronic diseases states, from autoimmune conditions to heart disease and blood surgar dysregulation BUT the beauty of nature is that it offers us a toolbox of healing through the food we eat. 🌿🥑

Still enjoy that glass of champagne, and indulge on that fancy platter, because food and socialisation bring us joy, we don’t want to associate our eating habits with guilt and shame but year after year when January comes around we see an influx in patients feeling guilty, unwell and inflammed from the silly season antics.

This friendly post is just to remind yourself to be kind but mindful that you can still enjoy all the sweet moments but make appropriate choices when needed to ensure you keep yourself in a state of balance.

Chronic disease management can be tricky in these times, but remember why you started your journey and how far you’ve come and remember to look after yourself most importantly.

For those unsure aware, Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, causing chronic pain, systemic inflammation and infertility. It affects millions of women worldwide, yet it often goes undiagnosed for years, with patients being told they’re being hysterical, dramatic or anxious!
