Surf Coast Century recap 🏃♂️
The Marna boys spent the weekend tackling the gruelling but equally stunning 100km Trail Run
charged through the first 25km stage from Anglesea to Torquay, coming in second overall despite straining his hamstring in the first 2kms (if anyone knows a good physio pls let us know). He showed his experience scrambling across the Winki Pop rocks and with sheer grit he set his team up for the day!
and split the day between them, getting to take in every element of the amazing trails between Torquay and Moggs Creek. Incredibly they were the first two person team across the line, even with Ollie cramping up in the last stage and Wade coming to the rescue with some extra kms and plenty of pickle juice!
The effort was dedicated to our late friend, mentor, colleague and inspiration Steve Stahl. This course and coastline was his backyard and if he wasn't in the clinic, he was guaranteed to be out there surfing, running or mountain biking.
There were plenty of moments out there where we could feel him with us, striding in front with a cheeky grin, decked head to toe in merchandise and corny jokes to take the pain away.
We are so privileged to live in such an amazing part of the world, and even more blessed to have known Steve.
