Hi everyone!! Out AGM is fast approaching, coming up on October 21st! We are so excited to have a refresh of our committee for the new year and would love for many of you to be involved. Being a part of the TBH committee is rewarding, minimally demanding and a great addition to your CV! It’s also a great way to meet new people and make a difference in the community.

We have many free roles this year as our current committee is composed of many graduating final years. Now is your time!! 🤩🤩

Want to volunteer with us at our biggest event of the year? Boost your children's health and health promotion skills and boost your CV at the same time??

If you've never worked with us before, now is your time. This is a super rewarding event which is always positively regarded by community members, students and staff! Help take the guess work and fear factor out of the healthcare environment for beautiful young people and their teddies!

When: SATURDAY 14th September 11am-2pm
(arrival a little early is recommended to get familiar with the stations and allocated to a time/station)

Want to volunteer with us at one of the first events of the year? Get the ball rolling on your children's health and health promotion skills and boost your CV at the same time??

Keep an eye out for our volunteer sign up for our next big event visit at the Apollo Bay and Otway district agricultural show! There will be a 3 hour stall here to show the great work that DTBH is doing and interact with children to decrease fears around healthcare interactions.

YOUR NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS

On behalf of your 2024 Deakin TBH committee we would like to officially welcome you to the new year. We are incredibly excited to bring you some great new events to boost your confidence in paediatric and health promotion skills this year!

We hope you all enjoyed your break and look forward to succeeding this semester! Welcome back to our existing volunteers and welcome to our group if you’re thinking of joining us.

Deakin TBH is a multidisciplinary volunteer group who focuses on bringing health promotion activities to children and demystifies healthcare environments for young people, to increase their confidence in interacting with healthcare. This year we’re excited to bring you events like:
- local primary school visits
- open day and expo stations
- shopping centre events

VOLUNTEER TRAINING EVENING

When: Tuesday 27th March 2024, 6:30PM-7:45PM

Our volunteering is open to all health faculty students. Come and learn about how to participate in future events and gain key knowledge for school visits with DTBH this year. This is extremely useful to build confidence before attending your first event with us.

DTBH is a rewarding and fun extracurricular organisation to be a part of. If you haven't worked with us yet, what are you waiting for? Go on, you know you want to!!!
