We are a child and family friendly studio so children, babies and partners are always welcome. Our Values

We aim to break down stigmas & taboos surrounding Women's Health, and support our clients with the following values - empower, educate, support, care. Who We Are

💉 Ever wondered what’s considered a normal blood sugar level?

Fasting: 4.0 – 5.4 mmol/L (ie not eaten for 8 hours)
2 hrs after eating: up to 7.8 mmol/L
For people with diabetes, targets can be a little different depending on that individual.

We see lots of clients with insulin resistance at the Pear studio, including PCOS and Gestational Diabetes, and we know that exercise truely is medicine to help with managing blood sugars.

When we can bypass the sticky hinged doors, and allow glucose to enter the cell through the window (aka GLUT-4 translocation to cell wall) we can reduce the amount of stress placed on the Beta cells in the pancreas to produce insulin, and the amount of time with elevated blood sugar levels!

Did you know exercise in the water can be one of the most effective ways to build strength, improve mobility, and reduce pain?

We offer small group hydrotherapy classes (4:1) on Mondays 2pm and Wednesdays 1pm – the perfect way to get guidance and support in a fun and friendly setting.

Prefer more personalised attention? We also run 1:1 hydrotherapy sessions, tailored to your rehab goals, and we 💜 NDIS!

One thing we especially love to do is pre-hab before surgery – like hip replacements or total knee replacements – so you go into surgery stronger, recover faster, and feel more confident.

🌊 Gentle on your joints
🌊 Great for strength and mobility
🌊 Supportive, exercise physiology-led sessions

So what exactly is Women’s Health Exercise Physiology?

We are so glad you asked! To answer, first we should explain what exercise physiology is! Exercise Physiologists (EP’s for short!) are allied health practitioners who are ‘active therapists’ - using exercise, movement and education as medicine to help manage injury, illness, chronic conditions as well as optimising sports and performance.

We can help you with exercise prescription if you

- experience any leaking of urine when you cough, laugh, sneeze or exercise, or feel desperate to run to the loo!

- don’t know what exercises to do after having a baby, or having cancer, or having surgery, or find movements can cause you pain

- have had a baby in the last 5 years and have concerns about your pelvic floor, including feeling heaviness in your pelvis, or pain during s*x

- have a condition like EDS/hyper-mobility, POTS, CFS/ME or fibromyalgia

- have a condition like prolapse and want to exercise safely (yes - you can exercise - in fact its one of the best things you can do!)

- have had a hysterectomy or laparoscopy or mastectomy surgery and want support in rehabilitation

- are pregnant and want to keep moving safely

- have been told you have osteoporosis, or at risk of osteopenia and want to use exercise to help support your bones

- want to train for a special event, sporting team or have a movement goal in mind!

We would LOVE to invite you for an exclusive sign up (we have just 4 spaces left!) to join our Peri Strength program - a...

At Pear 🍐 we know that life (and exercise!) looks a little different with little ones in tow.

Kids are always welcome here - we have crèche spaces, toys, and a team who completely understands if you need to pause to settle, cuddle, or feed.

We work with parents from the very early postpartum days (from you 6 week pelvic physiotherapy assessment) all the way through the years ahead, so seeing bubs, toddlers, and kids around the clinic is part of our every day - and we wouldn’t have it any other way! ❤️

Exercise Physiology, Remedial Massage Therapy, Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, Reformer Pilates

At Pear, we are passionate about Women's Health! Our team provide services to support pregnancy, birth, menopause, cancer, pelvic pain, injury rehabilitation and surgical rehabilitation post mastectomy & hysterectomy. We support women through every stage of life, and our team of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Remedial Massage Therapists & Nutritionists have additional training to work with Women. We recognise that there is a lack of support for women who experience injuries, illnesses or chronic diseases such as endometriosis or abdominal separation and want to help bridge the gap between diagnoses, acute rehabilitation and long term recovery and management. We hope to break down the barriers of taboo and stigma in Womens Health, by providing specialist services from our baby friendly studio, and helping all women to use exercise as medicine to improve their health.
