Your eyes don’t always shout when something’s wrong — sometimes they whisper.

- Blurred vision
- Seeing spots or light flashes
- Trouble seeing at night

These subtle signs could point to underlying eye conditions that shouldn’t be ignored.

The earlier you act, the better the outcome.

If something doesn’t feel right, our team is here to help you get clarity on your eye health.

Blurred or hazy vision? Struggling with glare at night? Colours looking dull?

These could be early signs of cataract — one of the most common causes of vision loss.

The good news? Cataract is treatable. Modern cataract surgery is safe, effective, and can restore clear vision.

Don’t wait until it impacts your daily life. Early assessment makes all the difference.

At Eyemedics, our dedicated team of ophthalmologists specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, with a focus on restoring clarity and quality of vision.

Speak to your eye care provider and take the first step towards clearer vision.

Exceptional patient outcomes result from the partnership among optometrists, ophthalmologists, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, and dedicated clinical support staff working together.

As an ophthalmology practice, we recognise that our work is strengthened every day by the optometrists and allied health professionals who form the broader eye care ecosystem.

To every colleague across the field, thank you for the work you do. Our patients are better for it.

Age-related macular degeneration, or AMD, affects central vision. It can make reading, recognising faces, or seeing detail straight ahead more difficult. The good news is that side vision usually stays clear, and changes often happen gradually.

Regular eye checks help pick up early changes, even before you notice them yourself. And if your vision ever changes suddenly, it’s important to have your eyes checked straight away.

This February, we recognise Low Vision Awareness Month.

Changes in vision can affect daily life in subtle ways at first. Early assessment and ongoing care can help protect remaining vision and support long-term eye health.

If you have concerns about your vision, or have noticed things becoming more difficult over time, our team is here to help guide you through your options with care and clarity.

January marks Glaucoma Awareness Month, and it’s a good time to start the year by checking in on your eye health. Glaucoma often develops quietly, without early symptoms, which is why regular eye checks are so important, especially if you’re over 40 or have known risk factors.

Swipe through to learn why glaucoma is sometimes called the “silent” eye condition, who’s most at risk, and what you can do this year to help protect your vision.

There’s something beautiful about knowing one simple decision can help someone see again.

Registering as an organ and tissue donor takes less than a minute, but it could give back someone years they never thought they’d have.

That’s a pretty special return on investment.

Today we’re celebrating Wendy’s last day with Eyemedics as she heads into retirement 💚

Wendy joined us in January 2021 when the Glenelg practice became part of the Eyemedics family, and over the past five years she’s been a true joy to work with. Her caring nature and calm presence will be deeply missed by both our team and our patients. As Wendy begins this next chapter, we hope it’s filled with plenty of time with her daughters, grandchildren, and her husband David. Plus lots of well-earned rest!

Thank you Wendy for everything you’ve given to Eyemedics. Wishing you the very happiest retirement!
