Sometimes the mind feels busy
like it just won’t switch off

Thought after thought
looping
racing

And it can feel like
you need to figure it out

or calm it down

But often
it’s not the thoughts

It’s the body

When the body is tense
or on edge

the breath changes

It becomes shorter
faster
more shallow

And the mind follows

That “switched on” feeling
doesn’t just come from thinking

It comes from the body
not feeling settled

Breath and mind
are always connected

So instead of trying
to stop the thoughts

start by noticing
your breathing

No forcing
No doing it perfectly

Just giving the body
a small signal
that it’s safe

And from there

things can begin
to shift

It can feel like your mind won’t stop.

Sometimes people think they’re “bad at relaxing”
or that they just can’t switch off.

But often, it’s not that simple.

When the body has spent a long time in stress,
busyness can start to feel normal.

Always doing.
Always thinking.
Always scanning.
Always preparing for what’s next.

So when stillness finally arrives…
it doesn’t always feel peaceful straight away.

it starts to respond to it.

This is where sound comes in.

In a SoulNar session, I work with:

• a crystal singing bowl
• a chime

Each sound has a slightly different quality.

Some are deep and grounding.
Some are light and subtle.
Some help bring attention back into the body.
