🤔 Why Access Points Work (A Practical Anatomy Explanation)
Spinal Flow access points are often described as an “in-road” to the central nervous system (CNS). Anatomically, i contain mechanoreceptors that convert touch and pressure into neural signals that are processed by the CNS.

2) The upper neck has a real structural link into the dural system
There is an anatomical connection called the myodural bridge, linking suboccipital tissues to the cervical spinal dura mater. This supports the idea that changing tension in this region can influence the dural system indirectly, without direct contact.

3) CSF movement is driven by internal rhythms, not external force
Cerebrospinal fluid motion is largely influenced by cardiac and respiratory-driven forces. When the nervous system settles and breathing patterns change, the internal environment CSF moves through can shift as well.

In simple terms:
Access points don’t work because we “push on the CNS.”
They work because they provide a precise, repeatable signal the nervous system can respond to.

🌬️ Have you ever wondered why a simple deep breath can instantly calm your mind?
Well it all starts with our rib cage you see it’s not just a cage of bones, it’s a dynamic structure. 🤗

* Who knew it’s deeply connected to our overall well-being. You may picture your rib cage as a protective shield guarding your lungs and heart but its role goes so much further than that.

* When you breathe deeply your rib cage expands, sending signals directly to your brain that all is well, this triggers your vagus nerve and the parasympathetic nervous system, the body’s natural relaxation response and that’s where the magic happens. 🌬️

* So when stimulated, our vagus nerve puts our body in the rest, digest, and heals. Imagine your STRESS as a stormy sea, waves crashing and thoughts swirling. Now visualize your rib cage as an anchor, grounding you amidst all that chaos. 🤷

* Deep breathing activates your Vagus nerve, calming the storm and inviting a sense of serenity. Understanding this connection empowers you, by simply being mindful of your breath you can shift from STRESS and chaos to calm.

📌 When it’s fast, it activates the sympathetic NERVOUS SYSTEM, sending signals to the brain that we’re in distress or in danger and setting up our flight, fight response.

👌 Your pelvic bones support the weight of your upper body, together with the muscles of your pelvic floor. The pelvic cavity, the space between your pelvis and abdomen, holds your urinary and reproductive organs. The female opening in your pelvis serves as the birth canal.

* So a joint is where any two bones meet. In your pelvis, several small joints between the vertebrae of your pelvic spine help your spine move. There are also several joints that connect the bones of your pelvic girdle to each other and the rest of your body.

* Whether female or male at birth, your pelvis will continue to grow and change through puberty. By adulthood, your pelvis will differ in certain ways by the reproductive organs you have. These differences have evolved together with our different reproductive systems.

* If you have a female reproductive system, your pelvis anatomy is optimized for childbirth.
It’s broader and shallower, with a larger opening. Your butt bones are further apart, making the outlet wider. Your p***c arch is wider.

* The bones and joints of your pelvis are subject to the same injuries as others in your body, including fractures, dislocations and repetitive strain injuries. You can get arthritis in your pelvic joints. Pregnancy and childbirth can also cause temporary pelvic joint pain. 🤦

📌 Take care of your foundation gateway - be mindful when bending, twisting and turning.
Stop sitting for so long - your body is built to move every muscle, every joint, every day. 🤗

🩷 Everyone hopes for fast results — and I understand why. When you’re hurting, tired, or overwhelmed, you just want relief now.
But your body isn’t something to “fix.” It’s something to listen to, to care for, and to gently guide back into balance.

Spinal Flow isn’t a quick cure or a one-time miracle. It’s a process of coming home to yourself.
It supports your nervous system in remembering how to soften, how to release tension, and how to move through stress without getting stuck in it.

And as your system begins to regulate, you start to feel the shift ripple outward:

• Pain eases
• Sleep deepens
• Your mind feels clearer
• Your body recovers more easily
• You begin to feel like yourself again

You don’t need more band-aid solutions.
You deserve something that truly supports your whole being — gently, naturally, and consistently.

Struggling with Lower Back Pain? 🌟

You’re not alone, lower back pain is one of the most common signs of a blockage in the Foundation Gateway of the spine. 🌀 But how do you know if this area is blocked?

There are key signs and symptoms to look out for… 👀
1️⃣ Lower Back Stiffness or Discomfort – Feeling tightness or pain, especially after sitting or standing for long periods? This could be a sign of a blocked Foundation Gateway.

2️⃣ Pelvic Misalignment or Hip Pain – If one hip feels higher than the other or you experience discomfort in your pelvis, your body may be compensating for a spinal blockage.

3️⃣ Sciatica or Leg Pain – Numbness, tingling, or shooting pain down your legs could indicate that blocked energy is affecting your lower spine and nervous system.

The Spinal Flow Technique helps identify and clear blockages, allowing Life Force Energy to flow freely through the spine and nervous system. When the body is in flow, true healing begins. 🌈✨

The Coccyx — The Base Gateway
At the very base of the spine sits the coccyx. It may be small, but its influence on the nervous system is profound. Neurologically, this area is supplied by the lower sacral nerves (S4–S5) and the coccygeal nerve — nerves deeply involved in our sense of safety, grounding, and stability in the body.
In Spinal Flow Technique, we call this area the Base Gateway — because this is one of the first places where the nervous system asks the most important question:
“Am I safe?”
When the body experiences stress, trauma, or long-term emotional or physical bracing, the coccyx often tucks under.
Think of a frightened dog tucking its tail between its legs.
This isn’t a posture problem.
It’s a protective response.
A tucked coccyx reflects a nervous system that once learned to brace, hide, or stay alert in order to survive. Even years later — long after the threat has passed — the body may still be holding that pattern. Scientifically, this ongoing tension can keep the nervous system in a low-level state of vigilance or freeze, affecting immune, hormonal, and inflammatory responses.
This is my personal journey, and it’s one I share with deep respect for the body’s wisdom.
When the Base Gateway is gently supported and begins to open, the nervous system receives a new message:
You don’t have to brace anymore.
This is where: • Grounding deepens
• The pelvic floor can soften
• Breath naturally drops lower
• The body stops holding itself against life
The coccyx reminds us that true healing doesn’t come from forcing change —
It comes from feeling safe

Do you have trouble sleeping? 😴

Have you ever woken up in pain? 😣

It’s possible you might be sleeping in a poor position and blocking the flow of Life Force Energy through your spine. 🛌

This can leave you feeling tired, groggy or simply feeling like you haven’t had enough rest.

A Spinal Flow Practitioner can show you the correct position to sleep, correct spinal blockages that result from poor sleeping positions, and help you identify and treat any other causes of stress in your life.

Emotional Stress Held in the Upper Thoracic Spine (T1–T6)

Recognising that emotional stress is not only felt in the mind — it is often held within the spine.
The upper thoracic region is one of four key areas where the body commonly stores unresolved stress and emotional experiences.

T1–T6: The Upper Thoracic & Nervous System Connection

The upper thoracic spine plays a powerful role in how we breathe, feel, and respond to life.

The nerves in this area influence: • Heart and coronary circulation
• Lungs and breathing patterns
• Liver, stomach, and upper digestion
• The sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, or freeze)

When this region holds stress, the body may remain in a state of survival — even long after the original experience has passed.

This can gently show up as: • Tightness through the chest or shallow breathing
• Chest discomfort or indigestion
• High or low blood pressure
• Anxiety, emotional heaviness, or grief held in the heart space
• Heart palpitations or digestive unease
• A constant feeling of being “on edge” or unsafe

The Body’s Wisdom

Your body isn’t broken —
it has been protecting you.

True healing occurs when the nervous system feels safe enough to soften, reorganise, and release.

As the upper thoracic spine begins to unwind, many people experience: ✨ Deeper, fuller breathing
✨ Emotional release from the chest and heart space
✨ A calmer, more regulated heart response
✨ A sense of safety gently returning to the body

💫 Through Spinal Flow, we don’t force change.
We listen.
We allow.
We support the nervous system in remembering its natural rhythm of healing.

When the body feels safe, healing unfolds naturally.
