Let’s be honest — Skylah Health and Beauty Clinic is basically powered by tired, busy mums running in here like it’s the pit stop at the Grand Prix.. including owner 🫣 But we LOVE you for it!

This Mother’s Day, I just want to say:
Thank you for trusting me with your precious "me time."
Thank you for collapsing on my treatment table and saying, “Just do whatever, I don’t even care anymore.”
Thank you for pretending your waxing appointment is a silent meditation retreat and like i'm not getting into those knots in your back 😆

The power of a brow wax

As usual I am too eager to start the mapping process and forgot to take before pics 🤦‍♀️ so this is a clients own before shot which she kindly sent to me.

Cleanse, map, wax, tweeze and finishing product. No makeup applied.

Nervous no more... we have booked in for a complete brow makeover with dye next appt to really fill in these tails while keeping a soft, natural, low maintenance shape for this busy mum.

Hey there, it's Kahli, your friendly neighbourhood therapist (the beauty type but often the ear to vent to type as well 😜) 💆‍♀️✨

I've had a few new followers so I want to share a little glimpse into my vision as a health and beauty therapist. It's all about creating those special moments for you, dear Mums (and everyone else too, of course!) 🌼

I absolutely LOVE being the reason for you to stop and take a deep breath, even if it's just for a moment during that busy month or fortnight. 🌬️ Life can get so hectic, and we often completely neglect ourselves amongst all that, right? But that's where I come in!

Building my own business over nearly 16 incredible years has allowed me to do things my way. It means I have spent the time learning what works and what doesn't and quite frankly.. what clients like yourself actually want! It also means I can focus on YOU, my amazing clients, without the rush and pressure of in-and-out city appointments with stressful parking, phones constantly ringing and pressuring you to buy products you just don't want 🙌

When you choose me for your beauty needs, you're not just another client in a chair. You're someone special, and I'm here to give you my all, every single time! 💖

While offering very affordable mani, pedi and nail enhancements, makeup, spray tanning, PT, health consults, advanced skin treatments, lash and brow laminations, spa treatments and more; I apparently have magic hands (and I wear that badge proudly 🤣), so massage and facials are definitely a favourite for me and of course brows baby! Oh and getting Mamas back into fitness after having their little ones... see I can't even pick one fave 💪

So, let's make those beauty appointments moments to look forward to, moments where you can relax, rejuvenate, and feel your absolute best. 🌟

There's a bit of a background joke within beauty therapists that we are just therapists that make people look and feel good at the same time. This definitely runs true for me. I think on average I'd have at least one client a week crying, off loading what's going on in their life at the time. I don't mind. It's almost an honour that clients I see usually every 3-6 weeks, often more than I see my own friends and family sometimes, feel so comfortable with me that they don't think twice in doing so. Also physical touch and massage often do this on it's own. It's a safe space. Non judgemental and I am often around for the journeys that make up your lives. From marriage, divorces, new boyfriends and breakups, births and miscarriages, exam stress and children doing your heads in and everything in between! Life can be a bit of a bitch sometimes and as much as I still have to do what you are actually booked in for 😜, I am happy to lend an ear at the same time.

I absolutely love the R U OK? day initiative but something that bothers me (and my over thinking mind) is that it's a closed question. A simple 'yeah' can dismiss the question very quickly and easily when in reality it may not be the truth in the slightest. You may need to ask again, or a different way with some open questions to seek further clarification particularly if you are worried about someone at the time.
However you ask, just check in. The world is a little crazy right now and everyone needs a little extra love 🙂💜

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😳😳 So, I went in for a routine lady checkup, right... And of course I scrubbed, scraped and shaved like I was going on a first date with with the man of my dreams.. And I decide I'm gonna go with the new body spray I bought... So I sprayed myself like a second shower! I made sure to double spray the land down under so it would smell like sweet magnolias or whatever the hell the scent of the month was at Bath & Body Works... Boom, get dressed and head out... As I'm laying on the table with my ankles to my ears.. My doc begins the exam.. and giggles!... TWICE!!... Idk about you! But when someone is face to face with my lady taco... laughing isn't the first thing you wanna hear 🤦‍♀️ So I'm asking: Uhhh, is everything ok?... Of course my doc is apologising but he can't help but still smirk.. Sooo I take a peek👀... and omg!!!! It looked like a damn party in my pants!... I had used effing glitter spray!!!.. Under the 7000 watt spotlight, it looked like a damn disco ball... Now I'm laughing.. The doc is laughing.. So awkward... He finds his way through Sparkle Valley and finishes up... As he walks out, he let's me know that it's totally fine to come as you are... He said further, no need to get fancy 😂😂😂

What a massive year!
My busiest so far in salon plus some extra study, juggling the kids and a salon makeover and now some much needed family time before a fresh new year. Thank you to each of you for picking my small business, especially those who travel a way to see me, the likes and shares and for just generally supporting me and my biz. You are all amazing and I appreciate you so much.

Enjoy the break with loved ones and I look forward to seeing what 2023 brings 🎄🤶
