The million word gap, what is it?
As we know, we have more brain development in our first 5 years post-birth than in the next 95 years of our life, it's extraordinary! We all know reading to our children, and then having them read is important for literacy, comprehension, reception and productive development, but how influential is it actually??

A child who has 5 books read to them per day will learn around 318 times MORE words than someone who isn't read to by the time they are 5 years old... That is a lot of words!
