"To have faith in one another we have to see the good in one another.
To hear we have to open our ears and listen
To see we have to open our eyes and look
To feel we have to open our hearts and accept
To understand we have to open our minds and think.

To have faith we must have belief
To believe we have to have knowledge
To have knowledge we have to learn
To learn we have to understand
To understand we have to accept
To accept it has to be the truth.

I believe to benefit all sentient beings
I must dedicate myself, purify my mind
and begin to purge emotions that will harm others
and bring about negative thoughts, feelings or actions.

Let go of superiority
Let go of control
Allow yourself to think
Allow yourself to breathe
Change the thought
Breathe a breath
Let go of the tension
Let go of the few
There is more to life
than just me
We are in this world together
So let's start with me and you.

⭐️ We're officially closed for 2025, reopening 1st Feb 2026!

⭐️ Thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful year:
Eager participants in our Monthly Workshops,
Yogis in Catherine's Yoga Class,
Tai Chi friends,
Generous donors providing weekly Dana,
Supporters working in our gardens,
Readers enjoying Genla's books and teachings,
Inmates attending our Tai Chi and Yoga classes at Macquarie Correctional Centre,
Community members visiting our market stall,
Fellow practitioners who joined in special events including Pujas and blessings with Venerable Loppon Chewang Norbu Bhutia,
Children in our Kid's Dharma class on Zoom,
And all those who simply dropped in and enjoyed a visit, thank you!

⭐️ We've all appreciated and enjoyed visiting Maranatha for our Tai Chi and Craft get-togethers.

⭐️ While we're closed you can still make an appointment to visit Tharpa Choeling - Wellington Buddhist Centre by messaging or calling.

⭐️Empathetic Counselling will also continue by appontment throughout January (please message, call or email through www.tharpachoeling.org).

Tharpa Choeling - Wellington Buddhist Centre's Gift Shop will be open this Sunday 14th 1pm to 4pm and next weekend we have special opening hours before the holidays!
⭐️Saturday 20th December 10am to 4pm
⭐️Sunday 21st December 10am to 4pm
