Grandparents Day took place at the Wentworth Preschool & Long Day Care recently and we were invited along. The residents love being involved with the preschool, finding that inner child again!

Every year the residents of Murray House are invited to a service to remember their friends who have passed in the last year. Murray House is a family, a tight knit community, that each resident becomes a part of when they stay there. A home away from home. Remembering those who have passed is important.

Residents recently enjoyed Oktoberfest! Costumes, themed food and a whole lot of fun!

A Remembrance Day service, conducted by Wentworth & District RSL Sub Branch, was held at Murray House on Tuesday for our residents.

We also were honoured to witness resident Peter Atkinson receive an award from the RSL, in front of his family, for his dedication and service to the RSL. President Col Kerrin presented the award and conducted the service.

Thank RSL for including us on this important day.

🚧 Exciting News from Murray House!

We’re thrilled to announce that work on the long-awaited Murray House Extension has begun — a major step forward for aged care in our community. 💙

The first stage involves saying goodbye to the former Wentworth Library, making way for a modern, purpose-built facility with more beds and beautiful, secure outdoor spaces designed especially for residents living with dementia. 🌿

While the old building will go, its history will live on — treasured items like the stained glass windows and time capsule will be safely rehoused, and other features shared with local groups.

This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Murray House — one that will support our residents for generations to come. 🏡
