What a fun day today as we celebrated the AFL Grand Final with a Thursday Happy Hour. The lovely Trish Simpson Music led us through the team songs and created a wonderful atmosphere through music. There was a lot of bantering especially between the cats and lions supporters. But most importantly there were lots of smiles. Thanks to the Lifestyle team who did such a wonderful job with the decorations. Bring on Saturday!

A wonderful visit from entertainer Joe Casino this week. Residents (and staff) sang along to the music, recalling memories of times gone by. One resident shared with a staff member how she went to a wonderful concert and had a good sing. She went on to share how she used to go to dances when she was younger and enjoyed recalling the memories. Happy Days!

Today we welcomed a visit from students and staff from Julia Gillard Community College Werribee. This initiative allows students to interact with our residents in an activity based approach, today's activity being indoor bowls. The competition was fierce as the teams battled it out for ultimate victory, bringing a lot of noise and a lot of joy.

This Aged Care Employee Day, Thursday 7 August, we say a heartfelt to the incredible people who work with dedication, compassion and resilience to support our beautiful residents here at Manor Court. We are a team, each person contributing to making Manor Court the most important home our resident's will have.

It was a joy to celebrate you today with a special morning tea and treats throughout the day. Our CEO Ric Ellis shared his appreciation 'Thank you for all that you do – not just today, but every day. To each of you —thank you. Your commitment does not go unnoticed. You make a profound difference in the lives of all our residents, and I am proud to stand with you today and every day.'

What a week we had last week!
The Board Chair Karen and Deputy Chair Rob came in to say thank you to the Staff for the work they do caring for our wonderful residents - this was delicious and very much appreciated!

From Happy Hour, movies, dancing, snakes and ladders, Intergenerational music, the Hokey Pokey with Joe Casino to everyday, ordinary tasks and much much more, there is never a dull moment!
