WAREHOUSE-RUA EXPANSION AND PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WORLD BANK

Hon. Dr. Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu, Minister for Health and Medical Services, marked the opening of the Fiji Pharmaceutical Biomedical Services Warehouse, Warehouse-Rua, supported by a USD 7.35 million project funded by the World Bank Group. This partnership aims to strengthen procurement practices, boost supply chain efficiency, and improve emergency preparedness. The expanded warehouse will facilitate sustainable procurement processes, ensuring operational efficiency and effective utilization of allocated budgets.

We are happy to announce that the Fiji Cancer Society has received a generous donation of 15 cartons of anti-nausea medications from Icon Medipharm. Yesterday, we had the honor of handing over this valuable contribution to the CWM Oncology Pharmacy Unit.

This incredible donation from Icon Medipharm and its CEO Mr Jakob Gajadhar will have a profound impact on the lives of cancer patients in Fiji. The anti-nausea medications will provide much-needed relief and comfort during their treatment journey, offering them a ray of hope in their battle against cancer.
