‘Friendship: A Key Ingredient for Health’

Good health isn’t just about what we eat or how we train—it’s also about the people we surround ourselves with. While in the Gold Coast☀️, my amazing friend Lyndall joined me for a tough training run in tropical weather🥵, preparing for the world’s toughest half-marathon up Mount Wellington in Tasmania . She’s not only doing the race with me, but she’s also been my rock, showing how powerful support can be in reaching our goals.

Whether in health, fitness, or life’s toughest moments, having someone who believes in you makes all the difference. I’m so grateful for Lyndall and everyone supporting me in raising donations for Brain Cancer Research. Together, we are stronger, and together, sweat and all 🤣, we’ll make it to the top! 🙌

Support systems from friends, family, or community are vital for physical and mental health. It’s these connections that push us through the hardest challenges in life 🙏

Check out the link in my bio to donate to brain cancer research. Every dollar counts! 🧠💙

❤️😘

Boost Digestive Health with Movement 🌊🌿

Imagine the serene waves of the South West WA coast—gentle, rhythmic, and full of natural flow. Just like the ocean, keeping your digestive system flowing smoothly requires a harmonious blend of movement, hydration, and fiber-rich foods.

Incorporating regular body movement into your daily routine is like giving your digestive system a gentle massage. Activities like walking on the beach or hiking through bushland, or even simple stretches can stimulate your intestines and help relieve constipation. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise most days of the week to keep things moving.

Hydration is key! Drink plenty of water to soften stools and support easy bowel movements. 💧 Remember: “The more water in the river, the better.”

Don’t forget fiber! Add high-fiber foods to your diet, such as:

🍏Fruits & Veggies: Berries, pears, apples, carrots, spinach, and kale.
🌾Whole Grains: Brown rice, oats, and whole grain bread.
🫛Legumes: Beans, lentils, and chickpeas.
🥜Nuts & Seeds: Flaxseeds, psyllium and chia seeds.

Combine these tips with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise to keep your digestive system flowing like the tide. 🌼🌿

This is more than a simple beanie. It’s a symbol. A statement that I stand tall and strong as someone who was diagnosed with brain cancer almost 14 years ago. It’s a reminder of how lucky I am to be here and how far we have to go in defeating this life-shattering disease.

One Australian is diagnosed with brain cancer every 5 hours! 80% of patients diagnosed with cancer will die within 5 years. I am grateful to be in the 20% - alive and healthy.

So, if you see someone wearing one of these in the street, give them a nod and a smile. They probably have had cancer, are battling it, have lost a loved one, are supporting a partner through treatment or, at the very least, have put their money to a good cause that’s working hard to save people’s lives.

Thank you for raising awareness and supporting research at . They are more than just beanies or caps. They are hope. They are strength. They are a way to make a positive difference.
