Unfortunately, the NDIA, even after being shown irrefutable evidence that the price cuts are based on flawed data, and that these cuts will negatively impact people with a disability and their families. They DON'T CARE, and are still planning to go ahead with the cuts, which come into effect in 4 days time.

A society should be judged by how well they treat their most vulnerable people. And we are embarrassed and appalled by the way this government and the NDIA are treating the very people they are supposed to be serving.

There are over 50,0000 signatures on the Stand Up for disability Support: Stop the NDIS Cuts petition. A huge thank you to everyone who has signed and shared it so far! Let’s keep this momentum going and make our voices even louder.

If you haven’t already, sign and share the petition today: https://chng.it/BWXVTpvjJ4

NDIS update:

This week, we presented independent, irrefutable evidence to the NDIA and the Office of Senator Jenny McAllister, Minister for the NDIS showing the proposed therapy pricing changes are based on flawed data and will make services unsustainable across metro, rural and regional areas.

Despite acknowledging the limitations of this data, the NDIA plans to proceed with changes from 1 July - putting lives and essential care at risk.

There’s still a fight ahead and we won’t step back. We continue to meet with government, agency leaders and sector partners.

We are encouraged by the support we’ve received from many across the health and disability sectors and our fight is only just beginning.

If you haven’t already joined us, the time is now for you to act.

Write to your MP. Sign our petition.

Speak to your participants and help them tell their story.

This decision must be paused now, before irreparable harm is done.
We have written to the Minister, urging her to intervene and exercise her legislative authority to direct the NDIA to halt these changes, engage in robust data analysis, and bring the sector to the table to co-design a sustainable, evidence-based path forward.

Join our action now.

Some more facts. We don't mean to overwhelm your feeds. Knowledge is power! The petitions, media presence and support from local MP'S will hopefully force the NDIA to listen and make positive changes 💜🤞

This week the NDIA have released their annual pricing review and recommendations, and it is appalling!
After a 6 year price freeze on allied health rates, we are looking at another year of the same base rate for OT and a price cut for physio. This is heartbreaking for our industry. Imagine not getting a wage increase in 7 years despite the cost of living and other expenses increasing annually.

But that’s not all, travel will be cut by 50%. This is not sustainable and will impact families and children that need therapy to live their best life. Children will not be able to get the supports where they need it, choice and control will be cut!

If the proposed NDIS pricing changes go ahead, many of us will be forced to significantly reduce mobile services. And despite what the NDIA might say, we aren't rolling in cash. We're just trying to stay afloat while doing right by the people we care for.

The impacts will be huge!! We need your help!

What you can do?
✍ Sign the petitions - only takes a minute, but it shows decision- makers that families care (links below).
✉ Email your local and state MP's and let them know you're concerned about the future of services. (templates in the links)
📣 Share our post and speak up on social media - your reach matters!

If you've ever felt supported by your OT, your physio, your speechie - now is the time to back them. We're not asking for praise. We're asking for a chance to keep doing this work.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for listening 💜

NDIS changes are coming...

NDIS or Foundational Supports? Who’s In, Who’s Out? Who knows??!!
As the dust settles from the latest NDIS legislation changes, families, providers, and communities are still left facing the same confusion around NDIS and the proposed “Foundational Supports” system.
✅ Who is eligible?
❌ Who isn’t?
🤷‍♀️ What will be covered?
🏛️ And who’s responsible—states, territories, or the Commonwealth?
For autistic people and those with other neurodivergent conditions, these questions are even more urgent. Access pathways remain unclear, while the gap between NDIS and community supports grows wider by the day.

We have:
➡️ A new federal minister with a mammoth portfolio
➡️ A tightening budget
➡️ A codesign process that feels missing-in-action and varies state by state
⚠️ Kids are falling through the gaps
⚠️ Plans are being slashed
⚠️ Access is being denied
⚠️ Families are left without transitional plans or clarity
⚠️ Kids are not getting what they need to have a good life

We don’t know what Foundational Supports are—or what it means in practice.
Our community deserves clarity, transparency, and a real seat at the table as these reforms unfold.
Let’s keep asking the hard questions. Let’s insist on co-design. Let’s make sure no one is left behind. Let’s make sure our kids get the good life they deserve!!
