✨ Meet The Team✨

Hi everyone, my name is Vivienne and I'm Vepalabs newest recruit. I’m a part-time Support Technician Officer/Sales representative at Vepalabs, and while I’m still new to the role, I bring years of customer care and problem-solving experience from my time as a receptionist and animal attendant at Greencross Vets.

I’m originally from New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 2015 where I completed my Bachelor degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at La Trobe University in 2021. I eventually decided to make the big move up to Sydney in 2022 where I have learnt to adapt and enjoy the fast paced and busy lifestyle this beautiful city has to offer. When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me at the gym, playing social netball, pet sitting, or unwinding with a good book.

Steph and Erin had an amazing time at the VPS Conference this year! It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how Vepalabs can better support clinics, as well as to do some real social networking so everyone could finally put a face to the name. They also hosted a trade show display where clinics could get hands-on with some of our units and ask all their burning questions.

And to top it all off, Steph and Erin even took out Best Dressed at the Wild West awards night — yeehaw! 🤠✨

Vepa welcomes our two Melbourne technicians out of lockdown! Well done, the two Pete's, and the whole city. It’s been a rough ride. We’re going to give them some time off so they can enjoy their new-found freedom. (Maybe go and get haircuts guys? In-case you frighten the general populace).

In other news – We recorded the busiest month of our history, this October. Diagnostic tests were flying out the door of our new Brisbane dispatch center, to clinics all around Australia. Lori has done an admirable job of keeping us fully stocked, even while international shipping is still a lottery.

I think we are all fortunate to be in an industry that is weathering the Covid storm much better than some others. And the role that Vets and Nurses play, in enhancing the human-pet bond, is even more important in these troubled times. People affected the most by the pandemic are in need of that companionship more than ever.

Those of us that work in orbit around Veterinary Practices remain privileged to be in our supporting roles.

A big thank you and virtual hugs to all the hard working Vet Nurses and Techs out there! You're the highly skilled heart and soul of the Vet practice, and we're privileged to work with you every day. We've seen how you manage so many things at once - caring for your patients, operating a myriad of high-tech equipment, administering drugs, tending wounds, monitoring treatments. The list of the things you do endless. And all the while you're dealing with some very demanding and sometimes eccentric humans. Yes, the vets! ;-). We hope you get a spare moment today to pat yourselves on the back and know that you're appreciated!

Happy Birthday to everyone at Vepa. We're 8 years old! Its been a heck of a journey, growing from one person to the nine hard working team members we have today. We've now deployed over 500 pieces of diagnostic equipment in more than 300 Australian vet practices. It's been a pleasure working with all the nurses, vets, practice managers and personnel in the Aussie vet industry. Not to mention our supply partners and yes, our competitors. Together we're bringing new technology, new initiatives, and most important of all, CHOICE, to the market. We look forward to the next 8 years working our backsides off even more.
