Not every hearing test should end in a sales pitch.
At earLAB, we do things differently.

We offer independent, pressure-free hearing assessments — no sales tactics, no hidden partners, no bias. Just honest, evidence-based care you can trust.

We’re not linked to any hearing aid provider, and we don’t offer rehabilitation services — so our only job is to give you clarity.

If you do need further support, we’ll guide you toward the right next steps — independently.

This is what audiology should feel like.

Earwax often gets a bad reputation, but did you know it actually helps protect your ears from dust, debris, and infections? Your ears are even self-cleaning, meaning they naturally clear out excess wax.

However, too much buildup can cause blockages, muffled hearing, discomfort, and even dizziness. And if you’ve been using cotton swabs to clean your ears, you might be pushing the wax deeper instead of removing it.

If your ears feel clogged or your hearing seems off, professional earwax removal is a safe, painless, and effective solution.

Swipe through to learn more, and don’t wait until it becomes a bigger issue, your ears deserve the best care.

The audiology industry is failing, not because of a lack of professionals, but because of a lack of leadership, innovation, and focus on prevention.

Every year, universities graduate more audiologists, but most enter an industry that is stuck in outdated models. Instead of pushing for progress, we’re producing more followers than leaders, more reactive solutions than proactive care.

The focus remains on managing hearing loss after it happens, instead of preventing it in the first place. Workplace noise-induced hearing loss is a perfect example—it's one of the most avoidable types of hearing damage, yet only one in four exposed workers wear proper hearing protection. That’s not a knowledge gap. That’s a leadership failure.

At earLAB, we refuse to follow the status quo. Our focus is prevention, education, and real-world solutions that keep people hearing better for longer. Custom hearing protection, early screenings, workplace assessments—these should be the standard, not the exception.
Hearing loss isn’t inevitable. The industry just needs to stop treating it like it is.

It’s time to do better. If you're serious about protecting your hearing, book an appointment today. Link in bio.

Flushing (ear irrigation) has been used for years, but is it the best method?

Microsuction is the safest, most precise way to remove earwax without the risks of water-based methods.

· Flushing can push wax deeper and increases the risk of infection if water gets trapped.
· Microsuction removes wax with gentle suction, giving immediate results without discomfort or moisture.

At earLAB, we use microsuction to ensure safe, effective earwax removal for everyone, including those with sensitive ears or hearing aids.

Recent studies have found a strong link between hearing loss and cognitive decline, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers suggest that when the brain has to work harder to process sounds due to hearing loss, it takes resources away from memory and thinking skills.

Social isolation, which often accompanies hearing loss, may also contribute to the risk of dementia.

One key study from Johns Hopkins University found that older adults with moderate to severe hearing loss had a 61% higher risk of dementia compared to those with normal hearing. However, there is good news, those who used hearing aids had a 32% lower risk of dementia, highlighting the importance of early intervention.

Similarly, a study published in The Lancet revealed that hearing aids slowed cognitive decline by nearly 50% in older adults at high risk of dementia. This suggests that treating hearing loss could be a simple but effective way to protect brain health.

The takeaway? If you or a loved one are experiencing hearing loss, getting tested and using hearing aids may help protect cognitive function and reduce the risk of dementia.
