May Employee of the Month – Lachy 🥳
Every workplace has that moment when a piece of machinery refuses to cooperate and a small crowd gathers around offering theories. It's a tradition almost as old as machinery itself.
Lachy has increasingly become the person who steps into those moments with patience, persistence and practical know how. Over the past year, his skills and confidence have grown remarkably, turning challenges into opportunities to learn and lead.
Lachy is Part of the Garden and maintenance Team and also the Volunteer Crew Team Leader. Lachy has become one of the most reliable people in the workshop! Consistent, self-reliant and dependable, he's the person you can count on to see a task through from start to finish.
His skills have grown enormously over the past year. In fact, when one of our Victa mowers developed a problem that left staff scratching their heads, Lachy rolled up his sleeves, worked through the issue and found the solution. It was a reminder that problem solving doesn't always come from the person holding the clipboard!
Part of that growth has come from working closely alongside Emmanuel, the recipient of our 2025 Leadership Mentor Award. The pair have formed a strong partnership, with Emmanuel sharing knowledge and encouragement and Lachy taking every opportunity to learn, develop and put those lessons into practice
What stands out most, though, isn't just the skills. It's the attitude. The quiet confidence. The willingness to help. The steady smile that suggests everything will work out just fine 🌟
