Many of you have seen and loved the bouquets of flowers in the shop 🌸
Homegrown by me, they’ve been brightening the counter, sparking conversations and bringing a little extra joy into the space.

This season hasn’t been the easiest… between a busy shop, uni and life, the garden has been slowly nurtured in the in-between moments. From a late start in the ground, a dry start to summer, and constantly fending off the chickens 🐓 it’s been a journey.
But somehow… they have still produced 🤍

My goal was simple, grow flowers for the shop, sell a few bunches and enter the Kempsey Show (after much encouragement and definitely outside my comfort zone).
And I’m so proud to say I did it 🥹
The dahlias held out for me and I came home with:
✨ 1st – Decorative "Fire and Ice"
✨ 1st – Ball "Salmon Joy"
✨ 1st – Pompom "Glenbank Little Angel"
✨ 2nd – Any other variety "Pinky o"

Something that started as a quiet passion project. A way to slow down, find calm, and reconnect has grown into something so much more. And now… award-winning flowers feels pretty surreal 🥹🌸

What’s made this even more special has been the conversations around the growing interest in homegrown flowers, especially among women in our community. So I’m currently in the process of organising a little afternoon where we can come together, connect, and swap dahlia tubers and seeds.

Good news, icy pole lovers!
After our freezer malfunction back in November and losing a full freezer of icy poles 😭, it’s been a long road getting everything sorted and replacing our chest freezer…
but I’m so happy to say are BACK! 🙌✨

We’ve started with a limited range of flavours:

The days have been long, the shop has been full and busy, and uni is back in full swing so my plate is very full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way 🤍

Running a small business means wearing many hats and while socials sometimes take a back seat, I’m still here behind the counter doing what I love every day ✨

Unfortunately there will be no Jimmy’s Milk available this Monday 16th March week due to equipment issues.

For those of you who have placed orders or asked for milk to be put aside.
The alternative will be Big Little Dairy non-homogenised milk in 2L bottles.

If you are still wanting to order bulk milk, there will also be a 10L non-homogenised bladder option available. If you would like this ordered for you, please reach out to me before Sunday afternoon (15/03) so I can include it in the order.

Sad news to share, today will be our final delivery of Peach & Wolf arriving shortly. They’re restructuring to focus on their retail endeavours and will no longer be offering wholesale. It’s been such a privilege to stock their beautiful bread as an alternative when our local Laxton Harvest sourdough isn’t available… and we definitely can’t forget their incredible flaky, buttery cinnamon scrolls 🤍 🤎
We’re so grateful to have shared their products with our community and wish Peach & Wolf team all the best in their next chapter.

I hope you all had a beautiful holiday season and a gentle, nourishing start to the year.
2025 has been a big one for me and the shop.

This year I’ve seen so much growth. I’ve built deeper connections with our loyal community, welcomed so many new faces into the store, shared laughs, stories and heartfelt moments, and brought many incredible brands to the shelves and along the way, I’ve learnt just as many lessons.

On a personal level, this year was a juggle. Balancing uni, small business ownership and life stretched me, grounded me, and reminded me why I started in the first place.
2025 brought meaningful connections, important lessons, and a renewed sense of optimism. All thanks to you 🤍

I’ve got some exciting plans for this year (and many more brewing), and I can’t wait to continue growing alongside our beautiful Macleay Valley.

Finding Grace wouldn’t be what it is without my family (aka unpaid employees 😅) and you. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and inspiring us to keep doing what we do.

I hope this year brings you memorable moments, good health, nourishing food and positive energy ✨
