Dr Ben Brazer moved to the Macleay Valley in 2011 from Newcastle with his partner Cherie. Ben had left a busy practice in Newcastle where he was the Chiropractor for a number of high profile athletes and local celebrities. Ben and Cherie moved to the region to be closer to family and to start a family of their own. Since 2011 they have grown the practice to now include a second Chiropractor (Dr Ne

il Hecimovic), a Massage Therapists (Sally Trotter and Ian Dunbar) and an Acupuncturist (Alan Tarlington). They have two amazing Chiropractic Assistants (Melissa and Hope ), who are fabulous at finding an appointment that works for you. They also have produced two very cute children, one boy and one girl, and feel blessed to be able to raise their children in such a special region. The practice was moved to West Kempsey in 2012, and now operate from a lovely renovated house with a beautiful garden tended by Ben.

Melissa and Ian made it in today and Ian is available for Massage. 🕺

Bruce will be available for Chiropractic Tues, Thurs and Fri this week 🙌

And cool chiro Neil will be available all Day Wednesday 😎

Ben is still stuck in Hat Head and will be there to help his regulars as soon as possible. We have no information when this will be so please be patient though it may be a few days yet, Melissa will compile a wait list.

At this stage we are hoping to open our doors tomorrow at 9am. Unfortunately there will be no chiropractor available until Tuesday.

Ben will be cut off for a little while yet, though thankfully the water is starting to go down!

I will post tomorrow morning to confirm that Melissa and Ian have been able to open.

** UPDATE Friday 23rd May***

Most of you are aware that Ben and Cherie live in Hat Head and it’s safe to say we will be stranded for a little while now. The floodwaters (and the spiders 😱) are flowing fast!

Our other receptionist Melissa is also isolated (but safe) due to flooding.

We will review our situation on Sunday- so please come here for updates or call the clinic mobile (I’ll check it regularly throughout the day)

If you can get to Neil (in Port Macquarie) or Bruce (in Coffs Harbour) they may be able to assist until we are back trading (I’ll put their details in the comments). Hopefully be back to normal sooner rather than later 🤗

So much respect for all the emergency workers and volunteers out there working all hours to keep us all safe, thank you 🙏 . And sending our love to all those people and small businesses devastated by this flood event.
