🤓 We had a great time on Monday at our first Enhance Your Skills PD event! Our Senior Occupational Therapist Mariah shared all of her tips and tricks for the prescription of Assistive Technology (AT) for Occupational Therapists!
📋 Having been in the industry so long, Mariah has her assessment and recommendation strategy down to a fine art.
👋🏼 It was wonderful to meet other OT's in the industry and hear their stories, experiences and expertise too - it really is great to be around such collaborative people, who only want the best for their clients.

🎯While we LOVE to see clients in their homes and in the community, we also have a lot of fun seeing them in the clinic.
🏆Like this session with Pat and our physiotherapist Carina. Pat is currently leading the competition with the highest score on our bean bag toss game (yes, we're all a bit competitive here!) - all the while working on her functional goals too.
✅Our in-clinic sessions are charged at a cheaper rate than home visits (for Physio, Ex Phys & OT), so if you need to make your funding go a bit further, or just want to work on your goals outside of your home, get in touch to come and see us in Subiaco.

💻 Telehealth for OT 💻
Sometimes barriers with life, funding, distance, travel capabilities, social reasons and more can mean that being seen for Occupational Therapy (OT) at a clinic or your home are not feasible. However that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be able to access services.
Our OT’s can support a myriad of things via Telehealth, including goal setting, team meetings, routine development, some components of a FCA, emotional health and wellbeing, and more!
We offer our Telehealth sessions at a reduced rate (not full NDIS rate) to help support access, and reduce a potential barrier to services. To find out more, please email hello@enhancemotion.com.au.

🌱Carina brings a wealth of experience and expertise in disability care, particularly within the NDIS framework. Her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with neurological conditions shines through in conversations with her.
🌱In her own words - “My areas of interest include cerebral palsy and similar conditions, chromosomal disorders, hydrotherapy and equipment prescription. However, I enjoy working with all neurological conditions, and what I most look forward to is working with each individual client.”
🌱Availability & Locations: Carina has immediate availability, and is centrally based. This offers the convenience of both clinic-based sessions (at our reduced rate of $180/hour) and home-based sessions within a 30-minute radius of Subiaco (this can vary, so always reach out), accommodating the NDIS pricing.

I have been specialising in all things disability throughout my physio career, and working within the NDIS model in Victoria and now Perth. However, I have also loved working and volunteering in the disability sector long before becoming a physio.

I am passionate about really listening to the people I work with - understanding their goals, and what will be achievable and realistic for them. I love building a true partnership with each person.”
