Yuan writes: "4 weeks ago, I was honoured to be interviewed by ABC 4Corners investigative journalist Michael Brissenden to discuss the state of nutrition in this country.

"For a long time now, we know that the Australian Dietary Guidelines are riddled with faulty misinformation, and outdated science. It also doesn’t help that these very Guidelines are heavily supported and promoted by the Dietitians’ Association of Australia, the governing body that I (and over 6000 other dietitians) registered with to keep our titles as Accredited Practising Dietitians.

"Looking into the current body of evidence, we know that sugar and a high intake of carbohydrates, NOT fat, is the underlying problem for all these conditions.

"So, why are the outdated Guidelines, promoting a low fat high carb way of eating, still being regarded as the best framework for healthy eating?

"But, more intriguingly -

"Why are those who speak up against the Guidelines being punished and silenced?

"Putting it all on the line, we chat candidly with Michael about what we believe, and the change we desperately need to actually improve the health of Australians.

This is absolutely true, Yudkin was indeed correct, but as usual when it comes to the food industry it's all about the $$$. Please eat real foods, avoid low fat foods.

Catabolic or negative calorie foods are foods that your body uses more energy to digest than they contain. I often hear women say something like " I've been really good today I only ate 6 strawberries for breakfast." My response is "oh no don't starve yourself. You could've eaten the entire punnet because strawberries are catabolic!" Diet programs fill their recipes with catabolic foods and charge you for the knowledge. Well here is the list. Hello! If you are looking at this page you are probably overweight and looking for help. I am a cellulite therapist who has successfully helped women get rid of their cellulite for about 27 years. But although I am yet to meet a bottom I can't help...there is a side effect! Everyone loses weight!
