Many of you who have visited M Clinic have most likely, at some time or another, had an appointment with our very own Garry.

Garry has been a nurse at M Clinic for 15 years now, having started out as a volunteer taking blood samples when M Clinic was just a pop-up testing clinic, and quickly signing up to be one of the first nurses working at what is now the only nurse-led sexual health clinic for the LGBTIQA+ community here in Perth.

M Clinic would not be what it is today without Garry. From his quick wit when it comes to having a cheeky chat, to a gentle hand when it comes to testing, and his always glowing presence around the clinic, Garry is truly a legend here at M Clinic, and an icon to the Perth LGBTIQA+ community.

Please join us in not only celebrating Garry's years of service, but thanking him for giving so much of his time to looking after others, and looking after the sexual health of the q***r community here in Perth.

After five incredible years with us at M Clinic, we say thank you to Dr Mark Rivera, who has worked with us since 2020.

Mark’s kind nature, warm smile, and genuine care have made such a difference to so many of our clients—helping them feel safe, supported, and welcomed when accessing sexual health check-ups, vaccinations, and PrEP.

Mark is now heading off to pursue a different passion, but he’s promised to stay in touch—and we’ll be cheering him on as he prepares for his upcoming marathon in Sydney!

Do you know what to look out for when it comes to mpox? Keeping yourself and others safe is important, so learn about the signs and symptoms of mpox.

Getting vaccinated is the easiest way to keep you and others safe, so head to our website to book your appointment, or speak to your usual GP or sexual healthcare provider about getting vaccinated.

M Clinic will be back in the clinic from January 6th, so we'll see you then, and let's work to stop the spread before it starts.

Gay, straight, or bi, it only takes two doses of mpox vaccine to get the maximum amount of protection.

It is recommended that if you're a man who plays with other men, or you sleep with a man who does, then you should get vaccinated for mpox. It is better to be safe than sorry!

Speak to your GP or sexual healthcare provider about if getting vaccinated is right for you, or head to the M Clinic website and book your appointment for when we're back - we'll be back in the clinic from January 6th!

If you think you may have been exposed to mpox, speak to your doctor, or head to the M Clinic website for a list of alternative services.
