🚨 Proposed NDIS Pricing Changes Threaten Vital Therapy Access 🚨
As the owner of ABC Speech Pathology, a mobile practice in Perth, I’m deeply concerned about the NDIA’s proposed pricing changes — especially their impact on vulnerable children with complex needs.
🔹 What’s being proposed:
* A 50% cut to travel reimbursement, making mobile services like ours financially unsustainable
* Reduced rates for allied health therapies, including speech, physio, and dietetics — which risks limiting availability and quality of care
Our mobile service exists for a reason: many of our families can’t access clinic-based therapy. Parents are working. Kids can’t attend sessions after hours. And school-based support is often the only viable option. If these changes go ahead, children with disabilities will miss out on essential early intervention and support. That’s not okay.
